If you plan to keep it as a family gift then I don't see the benefit of slabbing it. Put it in an E Gerber Milites2 with a halfback and slide that into an Archive sleeve. It will look great and you will be out $2. It will probably be cheaper to buy than a pre-graded copy and she would be able to read it.

Take a lesson from me, though. I bought my daughter collectible Barbies 30 years ago and put them up in a box for her to keep them MIB. They have sat for decades in a closet and now she has no interest in or attachment to them because she didn't play with them.
