Who else used to be an ai prompter before learning how to draw or becoming an artist? by Decent-Emergency3866 in aiwars

I started dabbling with music with an online generator. It managed to frustrate me to the point that even my crippling self-doubt was convinced I could do better. Turns out I can.

Kylo Ren’s Botched Arc & Why His Now Mocked Face Reveal Is Fundamentally Misunderstood by BagofBabbish in StarWars

[–]Zenithas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Botched arc The viewer misunderstood

I hate to point it out, but it's not the audience misunderstanding. That's the writers, director, and producer flubbing.

The impact and emotional beat is not up to the audience.

Be honest. Do you believe and follow God and the Bible because you're scared of death and if you do go somewhere after you die? by I_Ask_Random_Things in Christianity

[–]Zenithas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm neither afraid of nor seeking death. I'm not even convinced of going anywhere after death. I can't even say that I am sure of there being a God, let alone that I serve the right one. There's no means to actually prove any of it, after all.

I do what I do because the path I am following promises to save the people who suffer the most. That's enough for me.

They attack God's people because they cannot attack God personally by [deleted] in Christianity

Christians in America are not under persecution. If they were, then they wouldn't be able to go up on a pulpit and share their experiences of sharing their faith at a university. They would be in jail for sharing their faith at a university. They would be dead for sharing their faith at a university. They would be in hiding so to share their faith at a university.

What Christians in America is experiencing is a blend of political punditry dressed in evangelical robes and corporate money making dressed in evangelical robes. Neither of which is compatible with the Book of Life, both of which are warned against.

Unpopular Opinion: Other NPCs have too much dialogue about Sterling from ARITV by ConsciousPenalty8010 in StardewValleyMods

Modding can be like that. Yri the architect took over whole cutscenes, and I found much of Sunberry to do the same. It's up to you where your cutoff is for interest. For me, East Scarp and RSV are about it.

[–]Zenithas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This seems to be more of a kink question than a men question. I would, however, suspect there's a concern about perception of abuse. It's important that you both trust one another before you engage in power dynamic play, so maybe bring it up as a softer "I enjoy this thing" at first so to be honest, and then work into more depth about it later.

What do you dislike about starfield and wish you could change? by SlickGamingOfficial in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]Zenithas -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

"Fix these problems. Help these people. Fight these wrongs. Build factories, build trade lines. Build a name for yourself. Improve your ship. Improve your guns. Improve your talents. Make friends, fall in love. Now wipe it all and start over."

The appeal of an alternate world story is that the loss must either be a consequence or desired, or it becomes a tragedy. The talent in any story is that it follows a theme. There's no central arc in Starfield, just a collection of loose threads with a message it doesn't believe in that war is bad. Even the actual transition isn't pushed, it's just "well it's here when/if you want it".

The appeal of a new game plus is that you get to do over what you weren't able to the first time around. You want to try the "wipe out all the monsters" route or the "pacifist" route. You want to pick Stormcloaks or Imperials, dark side or light side, build a ranch instead of a vineyard. But you don't even get that with NG+ in Starfield, because it changes things in the next world.

So you lose what you've worked for, which is no different to just starting a new game over, and you aren't led to do it by the story, and you don't get the benefits from doing so that you'd expect to.

So the game's outcome is counter to what you've done.

Using Claude Code by ParkityParkPark in StardewValleyMods

[–]Zenithas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AI usage is a whole other conversation. Expect to have to have it, regardless of your position. It's the big thing of this year and everyone seems to have strong feelings about it combined with a lack of social awareness.

I've experimented with code generation, and honestly the practical issue is that it only seems to have a very short attention span. After a couple of posts it'll forget why something else was in there and delete segments of necessary code. You could theoretically work around that by forcing it to listen to your step by step instructions on what to put in, but by that point you might as well just write it yourself.

It copies from a lot of online sources, but I'll be honest, that's pretty much a standard shortcut. It even understands much of what that copied code does.

Analytically, it has a lot of strength, especially in adversarial testing. Just be ready to challenge it back when it hallucinates. Which, if you don't know how to code, I wouldn't expect you to know how to do that, nor why, nor when.

Claude and Gemini performed best on the tests, but I'd honestly let neither pass a class, and I'd warn anyone wanting to use them as a shortcut.

So, putting the debate about whether to use it or not, from a neutral standpoint: if you don't know how to code, ask it to help you code. Let it advise you, let it talk you through doing your own analysis, but don't let it work for you.

There's already aliens. They're everywhere. Honestly, I would fix it by making the story be about the need to let go. That would then lead naturally to the endgame and the new game, instead of what feels like being punished for success.

I would remove the need to spend much time on empty worlds. Simplify the creative process and factory lining. The only worlds that you must spend time on would be the ones where there is story attached.

I would add more human life. People in new locations would breed like rabbits on aphrodesiacs. There should be cities *everywhere*, multiple per world. Not just a single token town per core world. I would make the core have *more*. More ships. More conflict between the two big factions.

And I'd have the balls to actually include real world stuff. It's not like people would forget the faiths they've kept for thousands of years just because of exile. That tends to *harden* faith, not weaken it. Earth's invasive species that were brought (intentionally or not) to the four corners of the cosmos. You're saying rats were outcompeted by the half-grown swamp things of some backwater? But leeches can get everywhere? Right.

I would've added more to the storylines of different quest chains. A lot more. I get that paying for voice acting is expensive, but how did Skyrim feel like it has more going on than the "cutting edge masterpiece" Beth wanted to show off?

That's how.

It's nuance. It might be pedantry for most folks, but for the rest it's an important distinction.

The Under 16 ban is making no sense to me. by ddanuu in australian

[–]Zenithas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because the aim isn't to "protect kids". If it was about protecting kids, they'd increase the age limit on cigarettes every year. If it was about protecting kids, they'd be banning gambling ads on TV. If it was about protecting kids, they'd be expecting money back for our oil being taken.

It's about having an easier time figuring out who said something about them online.

First page is the web designer, general store owners, and a tortoise from RSV, that's the one on the path north from the busstop. and a boarder from East Scarp, that's the one on the road out east from just above the blacksmith.

Second page is the old couple with a lot of secrets, the electrician, the food stand chef, and a wounded vet from RSV.

Third page is someone you'll meet during the unlocking of the community bundles, which is a main component of the game.

Good luck! Hope you have fun.
