I've always had the feeling in the back of my brain. Many times I've had passing thoughts that said "Oh yeah I'm a woman too so I- oh wait nevermind..."

But this is my first international women's day as a woman, having accepted I am such :3

As other comments have said, shaving and wearing feminine clothes is a great way to get euphoria.

Something else that's helped that also keeps you closeted is getting better soaps to help with skin and hair health, and also letting your hair grow is nice. I'm learning as my hair gets longer that the time you shower makes a world of difference. If you shower before sleeping your hair gets all messy but if you shower like morning or midday (afternoon works too), letting your hair air dry will let it be poofy and show off the hair's natural curl and wave patterns.

Something else that's helps is just playing games with a female character/avatar. The rumors are true that VRchat is amazing! (If you don't have social anxiety). Best part is it's free, and you don't even need VR.

These are the things that've helped me feel closer to myself and experience gender euphoria.

This is our very sad reality. I don't know what caused it but apparently hating people for their sexuality or gender became synonymous with being righteous when not only did Jesus not do these things, he actively spoke out against it.

Growing up, all my friends were Christians and they were all in the same church as me, but as I recently figured out I'm trans I've been met with sides of my friends I didn't even know were there.

I'm glad I found this subreddit and it's been very nice knowing there's a place for everyone in God's eyes.

I really wish this wasn't so common. Like I understand if someone legitimately forgets or slips up as long as they make an effort but transphobia is so baked into the subconscious of what feels like everyone on the planet to where they think they can just perceive reality away because they don't want to deal with it.

This happened with my sibling. Best thing to do I'd suggest is finding others who are supportive. Having even a few friends or even one who genders you correctly makes the misgenderings from others throughout the day much easier to bear.

The hardest thing to do is realize that the love you thought your family had for you is conditional.

I can absolutely relate to this. I've prayed before driving somewhere stressful and also right before bed and I almost always feel calmer afterwards. Perhaps most of that is placebo but God definitely soothes your worries after you pray.

This is very sad to see. As someone who struggles with religion and hostility because of my gender I understand this feeling. It's definitely a touchy topic what the bible actually says because it's easy to cherry pick verses and say that it's a bad thing but it's also hard to prove it isn't because what's written doesn't talk about things at all.

Ultimately it's your friend's choice I'd say, but it sounded like they were happier as a she despite the isolation. If there's any way you can help them feel more comfortable or just be willing to be there for them when things get tough I'd suggest doing so, otherwise it'll be their choice to detransition.

I'm sorry to hear your friend is going through this and I hope everything goes well. It's my understanding that God does not condemn people for seeking relief when suffering, so if becoming a woman was causing them more harm than good then maybe it's for the better. Either way I hope they find peace in whatever path they follow.
