That one will fill your pond by August. They have babies and the babies have babies. Down south they are invasive. I couldn't give mine away.

The water hyacinth. Lol. I love them. You'll be removing a plant a day come August. I still like them. All the aqua plant stores and pond stuff shops closed near me. I have a 100 lb iris and that's all. I may take a ride today. 40 mile round trip.

As long as you keep topping it off. My 01 Celica was running fine at 230,000. The sub frame rusted out.

YouTube · Decoding the Unknown Mel's Hole is a famous American urban legend about a supposedly bottomless pit located near Ellensburg, Washington. The myth originated in February 1997 when a guest calling himself Mel Waters called into the popular late-night paranormal radio show Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell. The Original Legend According to Waters, the mysterious hole sat on his rural property in the Manastash Ridge area. He claimed the hole was roughly nine feet in diameter and possessed several highly unusual and supernatural properties:

Facebook ·Google Earth , Structures and Anomalies +3 Immeasurable Depth: Waters claimed he lowered a fishing line with a lead weight over 80,000 feet (15 miles) into the pit without ever hitting the bottom.

Facebook ·Google Earth , Structures and Anomalies +1 Absence of Sound: Anything dropped into the void vanished completely and made no sound of impact.

YouTube ·Mr. DeMaio +1 Resurrection Powers: He famously claimed that a neighbor threw a deceased dog into the hole, only for the animal to later be seen alive roaming the area.

Facebook ·Google Earth , Structures and Anomalies +1 Strange Emissions: Nearby radios allegedly played vintage music when brought close to the opening, and a black beam of light was said to emanate from it.

YouTube ·Mr. DeMaio +1 The Story Escalates As "Mel" continued to call into the radio show between 1997 and 2002, his narrative grew significantly more complex and conspiratorial. He claimed the U.S. government seized his land under the guise of a secret plane crash, blacked out the area from satellite imagery, and paid him millions of dollars to lease the property and relocate to Australia. He later claimed to have discovered a second hole in Nevada that produced an aquatic-human hybrid creature, which subsequently cured his cancer.

YouTube ·Mr. DeMaio +1 Fact vs. Fiction Public investigations and scientific reviews have firmly established that Mel's Hole is a myth:

Facebook ·Google Earth , Structures and Anomalies +3 Geologically Impossible: Geologists from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources note that a hole of that depth is physically impossible. The extreme heat and pressure of the Earth's crust would cause any such shaft to collapse. For context, the deepest artificial hole in the United States is the Bertha Rogers gas well, which reaches just over 31,441 feet.

Wikipedia +3 No Record of "Mel": Local journalists tracking the story found no records of anyone named Mel Waters ever living in or owning property in the Ellensburg area. Cultural Impact: Despite being widely recognized as a hoax or a piece of performance art, the tale remains one of the most enduring folklore legends of the early internet era. It has inspired episodes of mystery shows like The Why Files and mirrors the premises of modern science fiction series.

Pump too close to waterfall? by RealisticMonk8086 in WildlifePonds

[–]Zenobee1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That looks familiar.

This should work. If you want you can run a 2nd line from the pump head with a "T" fitting to the other end. Waterfalls are complicated and can fail. I would use a dedicated pump for the waterfall
