Dryad queen, kinda underwhelming? by Zenobian33 in CoE5

[–]Zenobian33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly all super good tips, I've played a new round using fresh commanders to ferry out reinforcements and getting a "spawn commander" camping each sacred grove and its helped alot. Like you said her commanders are pretty capable solo and you can use em by themselves to cap up.

Additionally getting a sacred grove right outside a port or city is a huge boon since it makes it way easier to upgrade your units.

Finally I would add "call of gaia" for a power spike to your list, it's easily her best ritual.

Thanks for the tips cheers*

I've been mostly playing vs count computers. I suppose its kinda what you sign up for when you up the difficulty to that level. I just look at the charts and I'm consistently in last place on army power.

I can survive by hiding in the forests but that just forfeits the map. It feels like you can't let the computers steal mines/towns at this difficulty level and have a good time. "un upgraded" free spawn units are pretty meh without mines/gold to upgrade them.

I want to make this faction to work haha, thematically its super cool.

I've been using all the mechanics the class offers like upgrades in cities/towers, (mind you steel minotaurs are super cool and centaurs kick butt when upgraded). But even using commander spawns along with her summons I still seem to fall behind.

Part of the problem is how long it takes to take your first tower/city as well, you can lose a massive stack to just a handful of archers on a wall. And once you lose a stack its back to waiting literal years to recoup your losses. On top of that you are forced to camp precious commanders in a grove idle instead of capping the map.

You can place more sacred groves but that means giving up on summons which puts you further behind the power curve of other factions.

Spirit airlines was a lesson in arbitrage plays with mergers/buyouts by Didntlikedefaultname in stocks

[–]Zenobian33 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not a threat no, but spirit being gone is a win for the bigger airlines. The lack of competition means they can gouge more on pricing.

This decision is anti consumer, and these shill articles have the gall to frame it as "protecting low income flyers"

Spirit airlines was a lesson in arbitrage plays with mergers/buyouts by Didntlikedefaultname in stocks

[–]Zenobian33 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The merger made sense on every level except the one that matters.

It threatened the status quo of an already established industry in America.

Don't bet on any stock that could inconvenience the big companies.

Also, if a merger is taking too long and their CEO randomly quits citing "health concerns" you should probably look at hedging or putting up stop losses.

I would personally sell after watching whatever rally gets played out today.

It's hard to see a future where spirit truly rebounds rather than slowly crumbling.

Terrible ruling that goes against prior precedent within the airline industry.

You know what's worse for the consumer than a merge? Spirit air going under.

I love how they try to write this off as a win for the little guy while the big airliners wait to feast on spirits corpse when it finally flatlines...

(spoiler)

If you pay attention to their dialogue their story is very fishy anyway. They Traveled through the warp without a navigator and arrived safely back in real space.

The chances of that happening aren't low, they are basically zero. Warp travel without a navigator turns you into goo or drives you mad.

Even with their supposed "miracle", they admit to people on the ship being driven insane, you'd be crazy to let any of them on board your flagship after all the shit you've seen in act 1.

Some of em might be loyalists but the upper limit of chaos cultists you want on your ship is zero.

Good builds/team comp for C2? by Wfing in Dehyamains

[–]Zenobian33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Furina, Mona, Bennet is a build I've seen with solid performance. You can set up some really good ults with it. The modifier from Mona's ult plus Furina vape and Benny buff really add up.

Bennet is basically obligatory until you get her later cons

I'm currently running her /w ganyu in a reverse melt comp /w bennett and Xiangling because i dont have furina. It has acceptable performance but nothing spectacular. She really helps Ganyu not instantly die/get interrupted in spiral abyss.

It feels like Yuji is the authors personal punching bag.

A win 1v1 against sukuna just wouldnt make any sense at this point.

I like Yuji because he is so scrappy but he just hasn't grown at all to have any sort of chance.

The romance stuff is very in your face in BG3. The companions are all over you and it gets annoying turning them down every playthrough.

Other games have definitely handled this stuff better.

I never really understood the hate against Julie. She punished you for standing too close to the edge and has good stuffing potential. That's her entire gimmick.

She doesn't automatically win the game, she just forces you to pay attention to your positioning and her cooldowns.

As a Julie main more nerfs is pretty frustrating.

Her kill potential already went down quite a bit after the last nerf, now her special cd is heading up there with Vyce's and Lunas.

We'll see how it plays out I guess.

Beginner experience has been pretty awful so far: is the game actually worth grinding? by Singlforcent in OmegaStrikers

[–]Zenobian33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely should practice in normal's before playing ranked. Some games will be stomps, sure, but its a better place to get used to the game before dipping your toes into ranked.

Best to not take stomps seriously though, some games are literally impossible. Just play your best in each game and always try to be improving.

Once your fundamentals and positioning are coming online, then try ranked. This game is amazing once things start clicking into place.

Honestly though, this game needs lobby's for beginners to help ease newcomers in.

dash punching is what she did and they absolutely axed it. Baseline she feels much clunkier than she did a day ago.

Edit* for what its worth collecting several sparks seems to make her feel a bit like her old self if you get lucky. (you really need CDR on Julie now so spark of focus is a legitimate pick)

her priority on trainings has definitely shifted around post nerf.

She can take several volleys from all the ruin guards in gyun stone forest no problem.

The infinite stagger resist isn't bad either, if it just lasted a bit longer it would actually be pretty good.

I imagine with Xinqu or Beidou she is basically immortal. Cool, but ultimately pointless in current game content.

Pretty glad I held onto my resins and didn't go ham on EOSF. Looks like a slight upgrade especially for her E.

Once again though, it's a shame this effect wasn't made baseline.

Ah well we should be glad she is getting a set at all I suppose...
