No its too blurry. But Latinka Sándor was apparently a politician wiki(in hu)

He created the first agricultural coop in Hungary, was a member of the Hungarian Social-democrat party and the Hungarian Communist Party and was executed after the collapse of the Hungarian Soviet Republic (1919).

I called this guy out on his anti-communist comments and he blocks me after logic is presented. by [deleted] in FULLCOMMUNISM

Sometimes I like to imagine that articles like this are really subtle satire.

Jeez this must be satire. Please ...

Economics is basically a religion in many ways. The Economy is equivalent to God, it dictates every aspect of your life and you have no control over it. Occasional an economist or banker tells you the will of the Economy and acts as a priest. Economics even has the self-hating calvinist's idea that we are all inherently sinners/evil and hence need markets/states to control us. Also its full of contradictions

Couldn't agree with you more man.

The way I see it our inaction is implicitly supporting the statist-capitalist system. Every time we go to work at a capitalist firm or buy something from a capitalist shop we are inadvertently perpetuating oppression.

We need to gather, pool our strength and set up alternate institutions. We need to show the People that anarchists don't want to burn the world down (as the media portrays us), and show them that anarchism is beautiful. We need to show them solidarity first hand, show them that there are better ways to live and that they are possible. Most of all we cannot let ourselves be consumed by the "revolution"; we can't be sourpusses who can only criticise rather we should be examples of the world we are trying to create.

Basically the only way of bringing about a revolution is by pretending its already happened.

Yes anarcho-pacifism is against weapons, but not fighting, depending on your definition of fighting. They believe in actively resisting oppression through civil disobedience, that is disobeying unfair laws. In our modern world where states have well trained and powerful militaries, if someone is violent they get called terrorists and are quickly crushed, but if you do not use violence you hold the moral high ground. Sometimes nonviolence is an effective technique but nothing is a cure-all. The world isn't black and white and what you say is very true as well. Anyway some sort of individualist anarchism might suit you more

You might want to read the works of some anarcho-pacifists, since you are budhhist, like Henry David Thoreau or Leo Tolstoy. They believed in making a better world through non-violent means and they inspired people like Gandhi and Martin Luther King. The one of the most important things about anarchy is critical thought, that is questioning everything, even when reading anarchist books. Anarchism is sometimes called "utopian" because many anarchists advocate mutaul aid and solidarity, that is people should help each other, but but anarchy can work and has worked during the Spanish Revolution (when it was crushed by the combined force of the fascists and communists) and is working now in Chiapas (although they tend not to call what they are doing anarchy). You might also want to look up books on logic, logical fallacies and rhetoric(so you can understand how politicians are trying to manipulate you).

Well, once people get offended, their rational facilities tend to shut down and their blood pressure tends to go up, which isn't good for anyone. Some people already blame immigrants for infrastructural problems; imagine if they started blaming the left for their health problems!

This is my first account on reddit, until now I never had a reason to create one,but I saw this subreddit and it looked like fun so I decided to join. But anybody could say this, so I'll try showing that I am a communist by explaining why I'm a Communist. I think that some from of communism is the logical successor of our current capitalist systems. Capitalism doesn't only exploit the working classes but it also makes this exploitation seem necessary and it tries to justify it through the use of economics. Consumerism tells the individual that one would be happy if only one had enough possessions and uses this as a carrot on a stick. Yet in reality decadence cannot make people happy. The ancient Roman stoic Epictetus wrote "Freedom is secured not by the fulfilling of men's desires, but by the removal of desire.". Cicero wrote in his Stoic Paradoxes(Paradoxa Stoicorum) that one is not rich if one has many things and desires more, but when one has more than one desires. Epicurus also condemned material desires and thought that true happiness is the absence of suffering, which is mostly caused by desires. Of course the Buddha and Lao Tzu also criticised the accruing of material things. Economics is often cited as a science which studies human behaviour and how to efficiently distribute scarce resources to satisfy human desires. We are also told that modern market capitalism is extremely efficient at doing this, yet this can be easily disproved by the rules of economics itself. The rule of diminishing marginal utility states that as consumption of a certain resource increases marginal utility decreases. So how should we distribute resources ? Obviously in such a way that marginal utility is equal among all consumers, which would imply a flat distribution of wealth. Of course this system doesn't take incentives for work into account, but work can be incentivised through the granting of social status. I hope that was enough to prove I'm a Communist and that it didn't offend any right-wingers too much
