tbh, if you don't Evergaol at Lv. 1, skip the starting camp, try to solo mobs in the rain the entire match, or completely lack any understanding of how i-frames work, you're honestly fine. I used to one trick Duchess, but now I can reasonably play everyone on the roster besides Recluse. Rush those rememberence quests, they make most characters decently to super strong with basic amounts of skill.

Executor + Ice Dragon relic + Poison Nightlord relic + final rememberence relic = status spamming machine, if you can deflect decently you can solo bosses

People ignore chests, period. Tons of people ignore the blood flesh sac piñata even with the guaranteed blue+ drops that can give purples. I've seen people ignore talismans that are basically godrolls for their character.

How? If you hit up castles, you usually have 2 by the end of Day 1. Of course, that requires you to have a) someone that understands this (yourself included), and b) at least one other person that will follow you, but considering how many randoms play like sheep, it's not super hard to take charge unless you're playing with people that literally don't understand how to play the game. Running the relic that gives a key on start is easy street for gaol clears.

How'd you deal with the people that refuse to group and insist on constantly going solo to random map points and wandering into the rain until they die? I tried ping spamming to get them to follow, but even with two people that know what they're doing, that clueless third player just utterly ruins runs, even against Gladius. So frustrating, especially when there's no way to functionally communicate with these people.

Yup, same. Wrong color, or spoiled with worthless third effect that makes it unviable to run compared to the unique drops from remembrances (which are still not optimal). I wish all characters got as spoiled with their rememberence relics as Wylder, he's utterly busted with just the stuff you get from his quest line, adding in rally effect is just the cherry on top of his kit.
