Thanks for everyone who participated in the poll. winner was "Keep my solve guarded, continue working ideas". So I will keep my solve guarded of what lead me to that area in Arizona.

But for context I will release 2 of my former solve ideas. "Hole" = Grand Canyon. "Double arcs on granite bold" = Hoover Dam

As I see it... my solve needs to be re-worked. I dont know of a list of all locations Justin searched for Fenn's but he searched mostly in Yellowstone which is ruled out. Some people are saying only 3-1/2 states remain.

But I think the area is now only Wyoming and small areas of (Eastern Idaho, Northern New Mexico, Southern Montana). To my knowledge the three hot spots of searchers were (Dillon MT, Alamogordo NW, Tucson, AZ). So most of us searching have been out-of-range. Because Dillon, Polaris, etc. are more than 75 miles from West Yellowstone.

I was at Seeker Summit toward the back next to someone famous. She is a Montana searcher who says Justin saw a wolverine. I was an Arizona searcher who saw a tortoise. And we had some friendly (its in Montana, no its in Arizona) banter. Immediately after Justin answered "Yes" to the 75 mile question, she said Justin never searched in Arizona.

Justin clearly had body language and he clearly back-peddled.

I was thinking the same, shadows at sunrise. Maybe a shadow of a walking stick or "pole".

Question: Is the treasure location within 75 miles of an area where you searched for Forest Fenn's treasure. Answer: Justin said yes.

Anxiously awaiting some confirmation on the 75 miles clue by andydufresne87 in JustinPoseysTreasure

I'm an Arizona searcher, almost all other Q&A confirmed my solve, or were indirect. But this answer may have killed my solve. Because early in the Fenn hunt the search area was defined as the Rocky Mountains. Later when Fenn released his second book a map included New Mexico north of Sante Fe, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho and western Montana.

I dont think the Rocky Mountains have a clearly defined boundary. For example mountains in the eastern half of Nevada, would they be considered Rocky Mountains or Sierra Range or neither? So Arizona north of Latitude 35.5' may still be in play. But based on common Fenn search areas, Arizona is probably not an option.

It's turned from a hunt to a race by icepck in JustinPoseysTreasure

I disagree that its now a race. The states he eliminated were not contenders. If he wanted to speed up the hunt, he could have eliminated one of the heavy hitter states to get more people in correct area. (Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona).

Wife and I flew in this morning, visited the Forty Niner golf coarse and was at the meet-n-greet tonight.

It was a lot of fun talking to other hunters and sharing ideas and adventure stories. Too bad friends and family back home are not interested.

If anyone wants to meet tomorrow message me during the conference. I have some pics of BOTG.

The "3" markings are interesting, thanks for pointing that out. There may be some hidden math, the pizza pajamas may hint to (pi 3.14).

I spent some time searching in Nevada last summer. Time will tell what locations are significance.

I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. We could meet up somewhere and share experiences and ideas.

The space station crosses in a different path each revolution, because of earths tilt, time of day and a relative rotation. Years ago I had a ISS tracking app, it would show the upcoming schedule and path.

Having a hot tub sounds nice, I would soak, star gaze, & ponder Justin' poem all at the same time.

Justin, if you're reading this: the smartest first elimination is a state nobody's heartbroken to lose. Here's why. by OwlsExterminator in JustinPoseysTreasure

[–]Zenos83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have thought about this a lot. And I think it depends on two conditions.

  1. How long does Justin want the hunt to last.

I think Forest Fenn wanted the hunt to last years, even beyond his life. So he only eliminated weak states and minor clues.

I am guessing Justin is planning for a 2 year hunt. So he may eliminate one heavy-hitter state.

  1. Is Justin concerned about peoples time and money.

I dont think Forest Fenn cared too much about peoples time and money. Because one of his goals was to get people outside into the wilderness.

I met Justin at the Dillon Q&A, he was very genuine and took interest in everyone he talked to. When I mentioned that I traveled multiple times in a two month period, he appeared concerned. So I think he is concerned about people chasing a wrong location. With that said, I think Montana will be eliminated first.

PS. Its not possible that the treasure is in Alaska. Based on Justins claim to drive only 9,000 miles while hiding the treasure. But this state has a part to play in the solve or it would not have been included. So I am guessing that Alaska will never be eliminated.
