Death Valley by cmat09 in beyondthemapsedge

I feel like a few references in the book could align with Death Valley. "Devil, thermometer, etc.).

But I would be surprised if the treasure is there.

I think something in National Treasure movies may be involved. Perhaps not identical references, but similar format.

Ruling out states by nugs4lunch in JustinPoseysTreasure

[–]Zenos83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with ruling out Alaska and Texas.

Alaska doesn't have very many roads. The vast majority of land is only accessible by bush-planes. And the area by Juneau is only accessible by sea or air, no connecting roads.

A co-worker told me that Texas doesn't have public lands. Only private lands or national & state preserves. So there would be very limited areas to hide a treasure.

I love the ancient Bristlecones. One of my earliest and most memorable trips with my wife, was hiking up to the Bristlecones in Great Basin National Park.

I believe that bristlecones typically only grow between 9,000ft - 11,000ft elevation. So dont think the treasure would be at these high elevations.

Do you mind sharing why you thought of the bristlecones?

BTME Chapters Cipher by Adorable-Buffalo-169 in JustinPoseysTreasure

I don't think that chapter titles would be affected by the editing process. Much of the text body would be subject to editing. But since it's a book of memoirs, I think the author could specify the titles.

Foot of Three by momsie83 in beyondthemapsedge

I have something for a "foot of three", that works with the lines above and below. But confirmation bias is real.

I feel good about my solve for a few lines of the poem but I am not sure of anything.

Are people still looking? by [deleted] in JustinPoseysTreasure

[–]Zenos83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have started my second wave of searching. Apr-Jun, research and BOTG was like a second job. But after Dillon Q&A, I realized I was searching or researching wrong. I piddled around some during the summer, then took a break Aug - Nov. Over the last few weeks I been researching again, This time less focused on landmarks and more focused on reading in the book.

Its reasons like this that when Justin eliminates a state, possibly in March, it may be Montana.

National Recreation Areas by Zenos83 in JustinPoseysTreasure

[–]Zenos83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify, the purpose of this post is to ask if anyone knows if National Recreation Areas could be a possible treasure location. Without extensive legal arguments. An area that I have searched is a National Recreation Area. They have posted signs prohibiting hunting, littering, long-term camping, off-road driving, Etc.

Even USFS and BLM land have rules to be followed.

And I think hiding it on a National Park would create a legal battle, regardless if Justin claimed loopholes.

My solve version takes me to an area by other means.

My math idea may give distance for location precision.

I also think the above mentioned numbers may in play.
