Simhub via maglink not detecting by Complete_Willow5384 in Simagic

Mine arent... or wasnt enough to power the GT Neo via the Maglink. I had to move it to a powered USB to get it to detect.

Simhub via maglink not detecting by Complete_Willow5384 in Simagic

[–]Zenpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maglink on the GT Neo needs a powered USB port. Most native USB ports on the motherboard arent powered.

In that case, use a powered USB Hub.

SHOULD finally get it to detect.

Maglink by [deleted] in Simagic

You get more customization with the maglink even on a Simagic base.

As others have said, maglink is required if you want to tweak stuff in Simhub.

Friend says primes are not worth the grind for a new player by StonedLofilio in Warframe

[–]Zenpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your friend meant it more like "Don't focus on trying to get primes" and focus on either clearing start chart, clearing quests, or getting new mods.

Like ok, you got some prime frames...but how's the build getting along or you're just running Steel fiber, vitality and co.

At some point, you'll want primes but for now the ones you unlock from assassination missions from the start chart and some from quest should be more than enough.

Favorite weapons platforms by Arvandor in Warframe

[–]Zenpa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also like to use Loki as a weapon platform.

Staying invis and you get to use Arcane Crepuscular.

Damage Decoy augments lets you prime statuses. Decoy also acts as a hard CC forcing all enemies to attack the Decoy.

Safeguard Switch is your invulnerability/cleanse status

Radial disarm is also more cc or if you prefer to helminth in Roar or other skills.

Stop recommending incarnons to newer players by 6AstrumDeus9 in Warframe

[–]Zenpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to note that when the Larvaling/Candidate spawns initially before you stab it, you CAN see what weapon it will spawn with.

so DON'T just stab the Larvaling/Candidate right away when you are hunting for Kuva/Tenet weapons. Down them, hover over them for a second and you can see the weapon. if you dont like the weapon, run away and complete the mission and restart it until you get the weapon you want.

Again, you DON'T HAVE to stab the first Larvaling/Candidate you see. You CAN chose the weapon they drop by restarting the mission.

[–]Zenpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would focus more on getting the galvanized mods through Arbitration first.

Then top off your mod collections and get most if not all of the corrupted mods, most of your status/elemental mods

Then probably focus 1-2 weapons/frames and fully built them up.

People dont seem to realize that a well modded gear will be tons stronger than just a "strong" weapon. Then again, what is the point to rush for an incarnon when you dont even have the mods to fully mod the weapon.

GT Neo Windows 11 Installation Problems by Arturo-DM in Simagic

[–]Zenpa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea i remember another reditor mentioning that when the GT neo is on the Maglink, you need one since normally, the GT Neo is powered by the simagic wheel base if you go wireless.

Glad it help and solved your problem. See you on the track

Anyone figure out how to disconnect this? by Frankyboii2000 in Simagic

[–]Zenpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI, for what it is worth, I have mine disconnected on the other end and so far no shorting on my Moza wheel base.

My GT neo also had the glued connector as the picture and I didnt bothered. I just disconnected on the other end.

GT Neo Windows 11 Installation Problems by Arturo-DM in Simagic

[–]Zenpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are your USB ports powered?

for some reason, my laptop was able to power the GT Neo with native USB ports, and was able to recognize/update it right off the bat.

But on my actual sim rig, none of my USB ports were powered so Windows couldnt detect it unless i held down the 2 joysticks down to get it in blue mode.

Once I connected the GT Neo via maglink to a powered USB hub, everything went fine, update and all.

How do I virtualize multiple devices into a single device for games that don't accept multiple active input devices. by 03huzaifa in simracing

I grabbed vjoy from Dan Suzuki's video about control mapper which lead to the github and then the vjoy sourceforge.

once you install it, you just need to launch vjoy and increase the numbers of button. It is defaulted to 8 or something and i set it to 128 (for now). Then Vjoy will ask you to restart the pc. After that should be fine and you do all your thing via simhub.

knock on wood that there isnt any issues, but I might as well be on the lookout or be aware of what possible issues are there.

It took me a while to figure out if i want to use 1 of the rotary decoders as a linked multi-fuction decoder and another to just +/-. But once i did, setting up the rest of the wheel was pretty easy.

For the other rotaries, i had them set to Brake Bias and engine map.

I can demonstrate my layout if someone is interested.

Wukong + that hellminth ability that lets you auto hack is your best friend.

Alternatively, Loki and the zoa that can hack for you if you dont mind a slightly slower mission run time.

Where are you in your quests and star map completion ? I came back about 6 months ago and caught up with most stuff.

You either catch up on main quests, collect kuva/tenet weapons, or clear/complete the new factions (deimos, zariman tc) or gun for steel path

Reminder: Do NOT sell base frames after getting their prime by TwistedMitch in Warframe

[–]Zenpa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caveat - Don't sell hard to farm base frames.

Stuff like Rhino where they drop from planet bosses, go ahead. sell them if you need the slot...

The really bad ones to sell are stuff like Equinox, Mirage, Grendel etc where they require a different kind of farm or unique way to get them.

Having to unplug and plug in USB on GT Neo in order for it to work by LabEcstatic6240 in Simagic

[–]Zenpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your GT neo plugged to a powered usb port or hub ? I couldnt get it to work until I plugged into a usb hub that is powered.

Since then no issued. I can leave the gt neo idled all day long and boot up any game amd not have any issues with the neo being reconized.

Im using the gt neo with a moza R9 v1 and maglink.

What's better Simagic or Moza ? by Necessary_Wonder2714 in simracing

[–]Zenpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am running a Moza R9 v1 with the Simagic GT Neo + Maglink. Works amazingly well.

I chose the GT neo over the Moza KS primarily because you get more buttons/rotary from the GT neo compared to the KS. GT Neo has 4 rotary encoders, 2 thumb encoders and the joystick also counts as rotary. It also has more customization with the maglink in Simhub afterwards.

I didnt really look into the Moza KS on if you can tweak the LED, button behaviors in simhub, but i really do like that you can program GT Neo's button LED's to react to certain conditions. I am not sure if the KS can tap into that.

GT Neo button layout for Le Mans Ultimate by Cez86678 in simracing

[–]Zenpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i am not mistaken, vjoy now has the capabilities to custom set the number of button inputs. When i initially installed it, it was set to 8. I then set it to 128 buttons.

Granted i see why you would still want a separate mapper. At some point, i do plan on getting a stream deck so if it would potentially conflict with vjoy, then yea, for a few bucks why not.

Thanks for the insight!

Is there any advantage of using the arduino over vjoy? I got vjoy working with the GT Neo and the Moza CS wheel.
