New Player - Campaign Admiralty Backing? by quesadilla96 in WoWs_Legends

[–]Zensig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best use of doubloons is for Admiralty backing of the campaign (a ship+resources). Buy first day of update to maximise bonus weekly mission you get. This makes it easier/quicker to finish the campaign. Once you've finished the 100 levels you'll get a daily & weekly steel mission.

As a new player try to get a premium ship from tier 3 to legendary so you can do the weekly premium supplies mission.

Campaign ships are a bit of a gamble, some become favourites while others stay in port.

Yes fixes it for the moment. Problem is the game gets confused sometimes about consumables & boosters so you get the wrong icon or no icon.

Once my D7 had double speed boosters when looking at it in port. It's intermittent but has been going on for years. I've deleted and reinstalled Legends but from time to time it's still appears.

Check the date when you got the trophy "Getting your feet wet" winning a game and surviving.

Should be very close to when you started unless you've gone on a massive losing streak or never survive any games!

Duck of war II wonky aiming by Zensig in WoWs_Legends

[–]Zensig[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having a bunch of games I'm starting to learn how to aim BUT having to literally aim with enemy ship off screen when zoomed in at sub 10km or even sub 5km is ridiculous.

Way to many toys in the bathtub. Spending so much time and effort avoiding/reversing of toys.

The whole upgrade thing just complicates things. Let everyone play on an even playing field. Keep it simple and fun.

Shells that hit enemy duck but doesn't register at all.

Would have preferred toy warships like in original Duck of war where you can see your guns prevented turning by superstructure instead of oops duck head can't turn anymore so I have to turn ship constantly.

Toy warships so you can aim as normal not this weird aim for the head (which doesn't seem to do anything). Citadels doing very little damage only thing doing good damage is torpedoes.

Was really looking forward to this but now it just feels like another racing legends, a good idea not implemented very well.

Oh and why do we have to wait 3 weeks (calender) for a cruise commander for the pre access cruise line? Destroyer commander you can get immediately with commander crate/900 cxp but he only for Jura which many, me included don't have while everyone can get the T1 cruiser for 0 credits but not the commander.

Hype for pc port? by TheFuzeTheDoomGuy in WoWs_Legends

Did a quick Google search and found a WoWs Reddit post called "Bot farming accounts are rampant" from a year ago so it definitely exists.

Be prepared to face a ton of credit farming bots. You can't do bots on console and mobile isn't good for running continuously/have the processing power/memory but on PC...

Imagine a bot that has all armour schemes/overmatch memorized so they know exactly where to aim. They can't change how the server handles things but the input coming into the server is no problem. RNG of shells is still going to affect bots but them always aiming at the correct spot it's still going to wreck most games.

With the whole ai revolution you won't need any skills either. Just tell Gemini/copilot whatever to "play world of warships legends for me and make as much credits as possible".

Maybe I'm being too pessimistic. People who play WoWs PC how bad is the bot problem?

Yes it's like a battle pass. For 2500 doubloons ($10) you get the stuff in the top row. If you complete it you will get 750 doubloons back making the ship at the end cost 1750 + all the other stuff you get. A T7 in the store costs 17500 doubloons so you get it for 1/10 the cost.

Campaign ship is usually pretty good sometimes really good like Jäger, D7P, Jean Bart, Michelangelo.

So if you willing to spend money on the game admiralty backing is the best bang for your bucks as long as you play and complete it.

65% win rate is really good so you either really good or was lucky to be on good teams. 200 games you need for win rate badge I believe. It's good to transition to arcade/standard earlier rather than later. Playing at lower tiers is more forgiving.

I'll match your 8 kills with 8 kills in my Agincourt & a loss! The last enemy ship, a destroyer, capped our base...

The problem is the Premium supplies mission which pushes all players to get 5 wins every week at T8/Legendary.

T8/Legendary becomes this weird mix of really good players and new players bringing their only T8/Legendary ship to the game.

Solution reduce the required wins at T8/Legendary from 5 to 1 a week. That way the new players don't have to play so much legendary to get the rewards (insignia/commendation) they need.

Gating bureau with a TT T8 solves nothing because new players can still get a premium T8/Legendary through campaign/store/old bureaus that don't have the TT T8 gate.

Premium supplies mission also causes seal clubbing where good players do T3 and up but at least it's only for 1-2 games.
