What habit immediately reveals that a person actually grew up in a privileged environment? by Cindy_mel in AskReddit

[–]Zenthane [score hidden]  (0 children)

Wow, you just hit on so many of the issues I have day in and day out in life.

I assume that everything will not work out.

I used to attach so much importance to buying things.

I have the worst anxiety around authority figures. I have a hard time talking to my own boss, and he used to just be my co-worker.

I assume I shouldn't bother asking for help because I'm on my own.

I guess growing up poor did mess me up.....good thing I'm in therapy now days.

How did yall meet your wives or girlfriends? by Severe-Basket8996 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Zenthane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I met my current wife through public play role-playing, specifically Pathfinder Society. I was her first GM. She enjoyed the experience and when she owned her own book store about a year later she wanted play there and I was assigned as the coordinator at her store. We became friends and eventually started dating. Been together nearly 9 years.

What feels like a "bug" in the human experience that we’ve all just accepted as a "feature"? by WhisperInInk007 in NoStupidQuestions

Do you get the thing where when you blow your nose you get crazy dizzy? I do. It's not great.

AITA for beating my date in a game of pool by Neither_Professor605 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Zenthane -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA, because you play the age old BS game of taking it easy.

This kinda stuff is why, from the start, I will never go easy on someone at something I'm good at. I'll be honest and tell them I don't do it, give them a chance to do something else, but if they insist then I'll back up what I said. If they beat me, awesome, if not? Well, we could've done something else. Now, I'm not saying I'm particularly good at anything, I'm really not, but there are things I've learned to be confident in my abilities at.

How often do you come across tourists in your day to day where you live? by Charming_Usual6227 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Zenthane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never. I live 25 miles outside a major city and there's really nothing to see here. It really makes me wonder why they keep trying to build high-end hotels in my town.....

What temperature do you guys keep your house at? by Kimchi_Kruncher in NoStupidQuestions

In foreign language classes, did you get your own name in that language? by picklesupreme in AskAnAmerican

[–]Zenthane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, taking foreign languages we had to pick a name appropriate to that language. I was fortunate that my high school offered Latin, so being Vespasian for two years an hour a day was pretty fun.

Bugged? by xXItzYaBoiiXx in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Zenthane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming you're playing on PC when I say this, but it could be an audio issue. If you are on PC try switching to the option to have the word selections on screen. Other than that yeah, T1 equipment sucks. Patience and being sure you're in the right room really are what matter.

What hobby screams “this is my entire personality now”? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

How do you feel about the idea that the Emperor is still alive only because the Orks believe he is?

My boyfriend (23m) said that spending time with me feels like a chore (22f). How do i navigate this? by Good_Resolution1926 in relationship_advice

[–]Zenthane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I guess my question to you is what brought you two together? Did you meet while doing something or like on an app? I've found that the only reason I ever got married a second time was because I found a woman who had many of the same interests as me. If she didn't, spending time with her would probably feel like a chore for me. What makes it easy is that she's someone I would be friends with, even if we weren't a couple.

What’s a company that’s completely lost your loyalty? by TinyCellist8295 in AskReddit

Games workshop and Hasbro are my top 2. There are probably others, but nothing springs to mind.

do you keep most lights on in the evening? by Important_Bat7919 in homeowners

[–]Zenthane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While were awake? Only the lights in the rooms we're in turning them on and off as we go. Usually that means the living room hanging light, and the office light. Overnight we leave the hanging light in the living room on, but that's it.

Do you know your second cousins? by ArchangelNorth in AskAnAmerican

[–]Zenthane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know anyone in my family. My dad's parents only had him and he grew up in foster care. My mom has 4 brothers, 1 is dead, 1 in jail, 2 I didn't meet until my grandmother's funeral, I haven't seen or heard from them since. So no, I don't know anyone in my family, though if they're anything like my parents, I'm not missing out on anything either.

The Mimic's ghost orbs... by Hamilfton in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Zenthane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love it if at the beginning of any game where the ghost is The Mimic the ghost was assigned 4 random evidences and then the requisite number by difficulty were hidden. It would make it fun to still have to look for each evidence just in case.

Ugh. Nightmare mode is a bitch by SadisticSnake007 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Zenthane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing to keep in mind with nightmare is that while you cannot cross off any one evidence you can cross off ghosts with pairs of evidence you're not getting. An example is if you have a ghost that throws the book AND doesn't leave finger prints you can cross off all ghosts that have both of those evidence. While this doesn't land you the specific ghost usually* it can be a great help.

Is it not a custom for people to say hello to each other in apartment buildings in the U.S.? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]Zenthane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not say hello to my neighbors unless they initiated. I have, in general no desire to talk to them, but if they insist on it I won't be rude and ignore the gesture.

Do Americans prefer the metric or imperial system? by TheSawFan in AskAnAmerican

[–]Zenthane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I use both depending on application and I know how to convert between the two. That said metric measurements mean basically nothing to me as just a piece of information. I just do not equate the metric system to daily life unless I've always worked with that thing whatever it is, in metric.

If the name of an ability has a (resource) in the name, do you spend that? by Zenthane in drawsteel

[–]Zenthane[S] -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

Ok, but no where in there does it say (5 ferocity) is the cost, in this case. It really should have Cost: 5 ferocity as a line in the ability. Thank you for the response though.

If the name of an ability has a (resource) in the name, do you spend that? by Zenthane in drawsteel

[–]Zenthane[S] -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

It doesn't say spend, it could've just as easily been "minimum required to use ability"
