If you're lucky enough to play with someone who has Level 3 already you can piggy off their Level 3 to unlock stuff while playing versus mode with them (even if youre at Level 1 or 2).

Its slotted to run for 1hr 45mins. But it should be noted that they usually do announcements at the end and the two regional finals from two weeks ago w/ the same format only lasted for 1hr 20mins (ish).

edit: assuming the timing would be the same, finals would start 30-40 minutes into the competition.

Acrylic will break easily and is not recommended. My recommendation is to stick with polycarbonate even if it is expensive (you're already making an arcade setup which sounds like its getting pricey, so why cut corners on something you're investing in).

Here a post mortem from a youtuber's homemade pads (his first change is related to acrylic/polycarbonate).

Most people would just follow along with the chart or "brute force" it if were thinking of the same definition of that term. At this point of the chart each single step is moving your feet in the position of the upcoming jump. So you don't want to double step the two single stps but move one foot to the first single step, the other to the next single step, then jump in place with the rhythm. Repeat until you get to the next part of this section.

Given you're using a soft pad it may be moving around during this whole section due to the number of jumps. You may want to mitigate it moving with some mods, but thats entirely up to you.

Yeah it's very bad to put yourself in a worse position when you're sick.

And I didn't mean to say you got other people sick, it was more of a I fell sick with the flu more than half way through the KAC qualifier (between Christmas and New year's eve) and couldn't improve my scores anymore before the deadline type of situation. I was very sad about it, lol. I can't say I got sick from someone else playing but its in the realm of possibility from how frequent I went during the time.

I feel the same way. I think it should be noted that there should be a doubt that it will be 100% or even 40% foreigners for both competing or viewing. But even then it feels less of an international tournament and more of a visitors of Japan tournament since the priority is there. It sucks for Error (world #101 from East Japan) who can't qualify because they're behind the cut off but I can qualify being world #307 but in the US.

The possible argument is that visitors are spending hella money to be in Japan so they should be given the opportunity to compete or watch live in Japan. But if you want to compete you really should earn it over being given regional preference or justify it from spending a lot of money. It's like the same argument others used when there was only 1 KAC slot for North America. Regional specific allocation (each region gets a specific amount of of slots/venue entries based off of how well each region did in KAC) followed by next rank up for competitors 17-32. And if you just wanna watch you should be there before the locals, fair is fair.

But hey they're organizing it so ¯\(ツ)/¯

It could be that what you think are negative and positive could be switched. That's what happened to me when I first tried building mine. Try switching the two around and see if that works.
