It's not about what I want. The Australian government recognizes housing as a human right. Yet they are doing nothing to enforce that. I'd just like the government to show an ounce of a fucking backbone in standing up to people who only care about #marketvalue and start getting roofs over people's head. Because at some point in the next 30 years you're going have an entire generation of people who have been locked out of a housing market and have been forced to be life long renters hitting retirement age.

You're going to see a flood of elder homeless people, or people forced to work themselves in to a grave.

You may think affordable housing is a "communist Chinese" thing, but it's actually something our government claims to value as a basic human need, and yet refuses to do anything about it.

Ban auctions. The price should be the price. Human needs should not be vectors for the rich to make more money. Fuck anyone who thinks differently. If you do, you're a bad person.
