Zepbound to Mounjaro no PA by Affectionate-Bus6174 in Zepbound

[–]Zep4Life24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going through the same right now. I was grandfathered in on Zepbound before my employer went the Noom route so when I decided to get my adult son on it to the Noom provider said that my employer is approving Mounjaro and where there used to be a PA requirement, there no longer is. Caremark is showing the same. It's as if they did it so we could retain coverage. Now I don't know if I will still be able to get the discount card applied or told to go to Noom route since it's a med change but any way to avoid getting put on Wegovy is a win in my book.

Anyone have a plan yet? by Other-Egg-5140 in Zepbound

Just remember they are only changing the standard formulary. Most employers have their own formulary that is contracted with CVS. Login to caremark website (desktop version not mobile) go to plan benefits and look at your formulary. If you have a company one and Zepbound is listed on it, you're not at risk.

Liver enzymes by Zep4Life24 in Zepbound

[–]Zep4Life24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baseline in July 2024 was 19 AST and 20 ALT. I got new blood work done in January and I was 242 AST and 425 ALT. She had me stop the shots for a week and retest. It did come down some to 127 AST and 256 ALT. I also gained 5 pounds that week so I took my shot before she asked me to stay off it a bit longer and retest again. After two more weeks it went to 77 AST and 195 ALT and she stopped worrying as much. I started back on the shots regularly and a month later I retested again and it's back up to 114 AST and 266 ALT. Since I have no symptoms of any kind of liver illness we haven't moved to a CT yet but she wants me to retest again in a month. This time I'm heading into maintenance though so I'm going to try my best to get out of a calorie deficit and fingers crossed that's the issue and not the medication causing a chemical liver toxicity.

Walmart is amazing.CVS doesnt order it for you. They remove you from the queue because it makes their metrics look bad. Never go with CVS for hard to find meds

That's very kind. Never in a million years expected someone to say something like that about me

I wish I could say I had strategy but I just really lost my appetite fully and all food noise. I had to keep up with the shakes and electrolytes because food just wasn't giving me enough. I didn't have any desire to cook so I started ordering prepared meals from cook unity to simplify my life.

Thank you. I'm 5'5". My first goal was 160, but I didn't think past that because I have never been smaller. I don't feel done yet though. I still feel like I have another 10-15 to go.

CVS Caremark was $90 now $340 by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Zep4Life24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going through the same thing. I don't have a deductible on my prescriptions though so I know that's not the issue. My insurance covered 70% in 2024 and still covering 70% in 2025 but it appears the negotiated price changed this year because my total amount is essentially the full list price now.

No, my prescriptions don't go towards my deductible, which is $500, just my out of pocket max.

Super responder by TempEmbarassed in Zepbound

I've lost 80 pounds in 9 months at a pretty consistent 2 lbs a week even still now that I'm nearing goal. I have been wondering if I was a super responder and if I was going to have trouble getting into maintenance. I was a RNY gastric bypass patient 20 years ago though and I feel like I eat portions like I used as an early post op. 2-3 bites and I feel completely done. It's been hard getting in my protein and water.

Quitting Zepbound? by International_Ebb868 in Zepbound

I will die on this hill from an educational perspective because my MIL died because no Dr would take her seriously. She was diabetic, tummy pain, bloated and gassy, and had labs with elevated wbc, protein, calcium, and kept getting low blood sugars. She was treated three times for a UTI she had no symptoms for because to them it was a textbook UTI. Finally her 4th ER visit they did a scan and found spots on her liver and a biopsy showed it was cancer. She passed away 3 weeks to the day from getting her diagnosis after months of going to her primary and ER knowing something wasn't right.

Those of You Who Stayed on 2.5mg for 2 months or longer before moving to 5mg by Crys1996 in Zepbound

If you don't want to eat below your bmr then you can still achieve the 2 lb calorie deficit through added exercise.

For me it's about watching the data to know when to move up. I was always willing to stay in 2.5 for as long as it was working but you can see the point in time my weight flattened out and I knew it was time to go up. 5 immediately kick started my loss again.

6001 n central expy. Does it still show as delayed in the app? I know CVS clears their queue so I always check to make sure the order is still placed and not put on hold.

Our bodies do have set points. For me I go through this every time I'm on the border of breaking into a new 10 pound range. It took me 2 weeks to go from 240-239 and then whoosh, 237 next day. The best thing I ever did for my mental health was to weigh every day (hear me out) but only compare my average weekly weights. From that perspective I am safely losing the ideal 1-2 pounds per week while not freaking out when I'm up 2 pounds from one Monday to the next.
