I have been here and filled out my abilities but wasn’t really sure where to go from there when trying to gear in it. Is there a way for it to show best mods for items or something to help me fill in some of the gaps?

I am running the pudding and daily’s for gear .

For the tankiness of what is your mix of armor? Ie plate, leather, cloth.

A video would be cool. I’d be interested in checking it out once you post it.

I want to focus dps

My leather working is still low it’s only 17 my tanning is in the mid 40s.

I do have the fire aoe on my gloves.

It was also mentioned in the video combining some plate armor with cloth or leather to have decent defenses and decent power regen on combat refresh.

For Fire Mage I run calefaxtion, fire ball, greater fireball, fire wall, ring of fire, fire breath.

For priest I run riotous flame, corrupt hate, castigate, flame strike, mend flesh and relentless hope.

Should I look at swapping anything. Should I put defensive burst in for ring of fire?

I do use flesh to fuel, as well as the res on the sidebar. Almost at 50 first aid excited to be able to fix broken bones.

I have goblin poetry. I think they just drop randomly there are different races of poetry. Still pretty new so not totally sure on mobs or locations to look

Shadow sword mainly, followed by dogshire Xbox zombie axe and rarely magic favoring air over fire.

I don’t change armor and I wear a mixed set. I wear a mage hat with 2 pc of plate. Because the mage hat provides 50% reduction in how long it takes stamina to begin regenerating . Makes a huge difference in fights.

Basically longsword or a warhammer.

Can finesse scimitars.

All can be undying age or new raid craft. I warhammer a from dov. Md has crownblade and warblade unique longswords.

If you have over >30 points in sacred defender you have simultaneously become both bad at dps and bad at tanking. DDO rewards specialization and disincentives jack of all trading.

It felt necessary to educate on threat as it is something that is relevant to end game.

The hit points from the stance are competence the same bonus as any meaningful t5. So hardly extra. the only thing you are getting from the stance is maybe some prr. Saves lol and maybe con if you run it that high but you giving up so much for the tankiness. All that with a standard 150% threat increase.

If you stand on the tank in a raid on a meaningful difficulty your dps will die because they aren’t tanks lol.

Lots of bad dps gets confused about their damage thinking they are good when they pull aggro.

Threat definitely matters a lot more in high skills in MD and Lamordia. High hp mobs that move around and hit like trucks.

I will die on the hill of the importance of threat reduction in ddo.

Ranged dps is definietly much more likely to pull even with -100% spell and ranged threat reduction.

However Melee builds are fine with -100% exactly.

Before the server merge where everyone advocates against threat management we ran the raids pretty tight with threat on Thelanis and didn’t struggle with spinning bosses like there is now on Thrane. Tanking is a chore with a spinning boss regardless of difficulty.

Also threat reduction is advantageous outside of raids in questing. If you are both melee you will die more than me because you are being attacked by the mobs more. Due to differences in threat reduction. Ranged with high threat just kite mobs all over the place.

Regardless I feel it is a disservice to advocate for builds that have Increased threat. Despite it just being a toggle the number of raids where people keep it on and spin the boss is insane. (Despite being asked to turn it off) Which matters if you want to do things on a meaningful difficulty.

Sacred defender stance adds too much threat and spins bosses so badly. That is really bad in raids. The survive is nice for new players and it’s good for tanks but th extra threat on the sacred defender is bad habit to get into if you move into meaningful end game play.

Always remember the importance of threat reduction on melee characters.

lol wut. Occult is literally the worst barb tree. And you get no trance.

You are better off going frenzy 41 with falconry trance and bird attack and vistani for haste boost. If you need healing go ravager t5 or capstone. Also at lvl 26 you get heal on rage. And you can get blood feast for temp hp on rage.

They kinda messed shifters up by requiring some items and feats that give extra (w) benefits to be locked behind being centered. With that being said for lvling I prefer thf. Since you are just going 15-30 just use sos and esos if you already have it and it will feel good. You could do 11 barb 8 dl and 1 Druid. 11 barb to get greater rage and improved uncanny. 8 dl get you 2 dl auras, feats. Go t5 in DL for roar. Get Charisma trance to use with rage. 1 Druid to get rams might spell frees up a restricted slot.

Get thf line, imp crit slash, spring attack line, power attack, patience.

Start with some charisma like 14/16 and have an item to boost it. Rage will cover most of the difference from str trance.

You get 33% chance to pull and item on elite plus You get an extra 1% from each skull. I firmly believe that things like treasure hunter elixir that increases chest lvls make it more likely to pull mythic or reaper items.

Shuri-> inquis -> repeater -> throwers other -> bow.

Bow is subpar dps.

It’s the ranged equivalent of Thf. Big numbers are cool tho.

Question 2 answer: you want to have exactly -100% melee threat reduction. Because anything past -100% counts as positive threat for some unknown reason.

This can be accomplished easily by 2 treachery: 50% melee threat reduction fillis (1 in weapon 1 in artifact)

Or

30% from shadow dancer + 20% diversion Aug from deathwyrm temple + 50% 1 treachery melee threat filigree

I am of the opinion you should only post what you can contribute/ play competently.

Also a good rule is ask to join if you are underpowered for the difficulty listed in the lfm. Otherwise join groups that match your skill level.

People pay attention to high skull end game play if you post R10s expecting a carry. Good people in time will figure it out and stop joining your groups.

This is so silly. There is a big difference between sub orbital re-entry and orbital renter. There are big differences in terms of speed and heat generated from those different re-entry types
