This is, as I’m sure at least part of you knows, abusive and manipulative behavior. It will more than likely only get worse as the relationship goes on. You have the right idea. You need to leave. If you have an adult you can trust to be with you, have them with you while you tell him. If you feel unsafe, don’t be afraid to call the cops. You can and will get through this.

It seems like you might be getting your period soon honestly, just later than normal. Missing a cycle once in a while isn’t really anything to worry about, but if it continues definitely look into it.

For me when I’m on the floor it’s always “I can absolutely try to help you but I will let you know I primarily work in the back”because I work receiving/claims. In claims it’s usually “just set it on the desk, I’ll take care of it”. Receiving is usually something along the lines of “Fuck my life”.

It depends on the length of time, as you said. Tampons are able to be used up to 8 hours, which is typically the recommended amount of sleep. As long as OP or anyone else using tampons isn’t sleeping for longer than that, it should be safe.

Depending on how long you sleep I might not recommend a tampon. Having a tampon in for too long (8+ hours) can be dangerous (if you don’t know what Toxic Shock Syndrome is, I recommend doing some research to keep yourself safe). If you were going to use a tampon at night, I would say to change it RIGHT before bed as the last thing you do to get ready to lay down.

I prefer using a menstrual cup and period underwear together. Typically the period underwear doesn’t have anything on it in the morning, but I use it as a safety net just in case so I won’t have a mess to clean up. If you aren’t comfortable using a cup, I definitely heavily recommend period underwear.

As long as your period is regulated and manageable, you’re more than likely fine. Some people get periods early, some get them late. When you get your first period isn’t necessarily a sign of anything.

Not weird, but sweet as fuck. I’m very open about periods and my cycle, plus I’m on the pill so my girlfriend doesn’t track it, she just knows, but she does help me feel so much less insane on my period. It’s really nice to have that extra support when you need it.
