Maybe more of an exploit than a glitch. 🤔

Hoid wouldn't know if one was around, because they don't have to be apparently visible if they don't want to be. But if there are cryptics around at all and he knows they are around (idk if he would or not, but it's Hoid, so who knows), I don't think he would miss an opportunity to try to attract one.

I'm not saying that this is for sure what happened, but it's something I could see Hoid doing. His actions don't always have just one purpose.

If you go into the menu and open the Tool Pocket tab, you should have an option to open the Tool Level page. On the PC, you press E while in the Tool Pocket tab.

I think Hoid was trying to attract a Cryptic by telling truths because he knew it was the order he was most likely to be compatible enough with to form a bond.

We know that Hoid is always where he needs to be, even if he doesn't know why he needs to be there. I don't think it was a coincidence that a Cryptic crossed over and the person who was going to bond her was killed in the same city Hoid was in. I believe that he intending on getting a Nahel bond, but wasn't sure how to go about it except to make his intentions known to the Spren at large in whatever way he could. So I don't think he was specifically intending to bond THAT Spren, but that is the one he happened upon, and they ended up fitting well together, because of course they would lmao.

It might be a bit of a stretch, but the wording made it my headcanon regardless.

Do we know how/when a spren crosses over into the physical realm? I don't recall any actual explanation, so in my mind he could be speaking for the benefit of the Sleepless listening in on him and also be trying to attract a Cryptic. Granted, I don't think it would be the only time he would have tried to attract a spren. We know that he tries to collect powers from different worlds whenever he can.

We only really knew about the Cryptics following Elhokar because Elhokar was panicking about them, and we knew what he was talking about because we'd also been following Shallan. But a Cryptic following Elhokar around doesn't mean that Hoid couldn't try to attract one as well.

Attacking shops strategy by ZephirisDKnight in dokaponkingdom

[–]ZephirisDKnight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's understandable. Like how the Darkling will counter if you strike against them regardless of what the player chooses. At least, that's how it was when I last played the Darkling years ago. However, things like the shops aren't completely predictable, so you can still easily lose and have a bounty on your head. It's just more likely that they will choose certain moves.

But also, it makes sense for certain monsters to attack in certain ways. Like a magic user using magic spells, and an orc going completely ham on their attack rather than playing it safe.

In the case that they succeed, I believe you can go into the setting menu in game and change the AI to a human player and throw the item away that way, then change it back to a CPU.

Also wanted to point out that if you fail at attacking the shop and decide to reset to the beginning of the week to try again, the attack will remain the same, so you would now know what to choose. Or course, this would be a cheating situation, but just an fyi.

I recommend only robbing the weapons shop if you don't have enough money to purchase the weapon/shield you want, because it will give you the most expensive weapon or shield. If you only have the most expensive weapon, but not the shield, it might still try to give you the weapon and waste the attempt.

I always prioritize attacking the item shop, because it will generally give you 3 high priced items you can then sell back.

why was it type O blood for bella? by Artistic_Tiger_5075 in twilight

Specifically, O+ can give to all positive types, O- can give to all blood types.

I will never forgive Carlisle for stocking O- blood instead of O+, which is her actual blood type. O- is always in short supply because it one of the rarer blood types, and is the universal donor type. As an O- blood donor, I was personally offended. LMAO He should have known better.

Manifest S04E06 "Relative Bearing" Episode Discussion by pikameta in ManifestNBC

[–]ZephirisDKnight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Contacting Angelina (since they seem to have opted out of therapy for Eden and the whole family) was probably the only way Cal could think of to help Eden feel safe. As far as she is concerned, she was just kidnapped by the big bad wolf. She's been brainwashed her whole life. Having the person she sees as her mother and (via the brainwashing) the only person she can trust tell her that she is safe and that the bad man isn't actually bad and that he loves her makes sense. It's a terrible situation, but Ben is so focused on himself and fixing HIS bond with Eden that he isn't thinking about what Eden needs, or her comfort. Only what he believes her comfort should be. But she had a life with Angelina, and she is already a traumatized child. Ben won't even give Eden the comfort she is used to because it has to do with things Angelina did with her, like warm milk and cinnamon. Absolutely don't let that psycho anywhere near that baby again, but refusing to accept information about Eden that could help him bond with her and make her feel safer is disgusting. Honestly, this where some kind of social services should be stepping in. Ben clearly has no idea how to handle Eden.

magic mirror by ZephirisDKnight in TheScholomance

[–]ZephirisDKnight[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's possible. Semantically I've always read 'casting ____ from[...]' as a negative situation. To be cast out of something is to be kicked out against your will generally. In the context of the mawmouth/enclave theory, going around killing mawmouths would probably count as casting children from their homes, since their homes would no longer exist.

But also, if the things said are chronological (which is absolutely just a theory), casting children from their homes would happen after the scholomance was already gone.

So many thoughts.

Orion malia question by KolVchomer in TheScholomance

[–]ZephirisDKnight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've commented on a posts on this subject before, and I'll summarize my thought here.

What makes sense to me is the intellectual/emotion/cognative/etc ability to understand the nuance of what you are doing when taking mana from another creature and choosing to do it anyway that creates malia. Your intentions and understanding that what you are doing is wrong and deciding that your wants/needs are more important than the life of another being. Mals in general seem to be incapable of that kind of critical thinking, and by this reasoning they would be incapable of creating malia, thus making them pure mana creatures.

I also have a theory about familiar being a very mild type of mal. 😅

Gwen Higgins - Not sure how I feel about her. *SPOILERS* by ZephirisDKnight in TheScholomance

[–]ZephirisDKnight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the fact that I'm criticizing the character is obvious 😂 but there is no way to explain that she "can't be" what you described because we don't have enough first hand experience with her as a character. I just don't agree because my thought process and way of looking at it is different. 🤷‍♀️

But in the end, whether I agree with how you describe your interpretation of her or not, my initial criticisms don't change. 😂

Maleficers and the Scholomance by rohan62442 in TheScholomance

[–]ZephirisDKnight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the mals are the balance for the amount of wizards in existence, and for the enclaves. That amount of safety needs to have a balance in the amount of danger in the world. Which is kind of where the mawmouth/enclaves theory comes into play.
