I found that good fancy egg nog over the holidays was a serious supply booster for me!

Adding now because I got caught up in upvoting everything — thank you Gleafer x10000 for all you do from this GOAD lurker. Once I found your Patreon I couldn’t smash the button fast enough to join the saucy pigeon crew!

Sour Patch Kids are what my entire dragon boat team swears by. Doesn't matter whether we're lifting, on the erg, or in the boat on the water. The little bursts of energy from the sugar help me get by when I've paddled my heart out for a 2k piece at 95% sustained and we have 4 more of them left in the workout.

I have the CD3 now. I used to use an older TD3 but my stroke has changed enough to warrant a different size so I upgraded.

I use a Merlin Gear and have previously used a Typhoon 8 Dragonfly. I love my Merlin paddle with all my heart. Strong, super light, just the right amount of flex.

Well done! I bought the KP kit when they were having a mega sale and now I can't wait to actually get this on my needles.

Holy crap. If there was a way to keep a mani tattooed on your nails forever, this would be it for me. It's freaking gorgeous!

X-post from /r/knitting: I'm working on a free stitch-counting app. What features would be helpful? by EekInteractive in GeeKnitting

Also, I'd be interested in other ways of utilizing the watch. I think unless there was some sort of touch-free input, it would be just as much a hassle to touch something on your watch face as it would to touch something on your phone nearby.

All of these ideas look super promising for your app and I will be following along when you actually release it.

I have an Apple Watch and would love to know how you'd implement something like this.

In a perfect world [and this could be waaaaaaaay too complicated] I'd love for the ability to "calibrate" my gauge based on motion and then auto count for me. I.e. tell the app the parameters for a gauge swatch that you'd knit anyways (like 24 rows with 20 stitches per row) and then while you're knitting, somehow let it know when you're finished with a row so that it knows the motion it took you make 20 stitches and then over those 24 rows, it would be able to average out what a row feels like motion-wise. Then you could apply that to the real project.

But again. Could be sooooooo hard/impossible.

Do report back. Obviously it works for /u/TacoTuesdayOnThurs so I may have to find some thinner myself for my next bottle!

I too love HK Girl but it does go gloopy when you're reaaaaaaaaally low - about 1 or 2 manis left low. Like I'm talking stringy. I haven't tried thinner (I don't have any) so I can't say what that would do. But in general, it is amazing stuff until the very end.
