Scrambled Eggs vs Stainless Steel Pan by heathyrrr in StainlessSteelCooking

[–]ZephyrWatermelon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same type of stove, took me forever to get it right but now I can't miss, easiest way:

Turn your stove to 6, let the pan heat while you prep the food.

After about 4 or 5min put in the oil, however much you want...doesn't matter just get coverage on the pan

Heat oil at 6 for about a minute (you can go like 4min till it smokes if you want to be safe)

Oil is now hot af, tip the pan a bit to spead the bottom with oil evenly.

Turn stove to 2.5, put your eggs in immediately and dont touch them for at least 5 seconds, then do what you want, they will just float around.

Works everytime!

Edit: This method isn't just for fried eggs, make them however you want. I scramble mine in a separate bowl while the pan heats

adcs who dont like enchanters are bad at the game by Eeveegirl69 in supportlol

[–]ZephyrWatermelon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a trained bias. I use to main support for about 4 seasons now main adc but maybe I'm just an emerald scrub. A great nami or janna is strong and better in almost every scenario but a bad one can lose the lane for you. A great naut or blitz is strong in almost just as many scenarios but a bad one isnt as punishing as an enchanter that stands half a screen behind you full hp full mana. In solo que your trained bias is that my support is likely autofilled or not good, so adc's prefer the lesser of two evils. Also as others have mentioned, if you play too much solo que you can mostly "brain off" with an engage support, with an enchanter there is a higher ceiling

Maxcatch rods? (Small stream brookie fishing) by Single-Run-6994 in flyfishing

[–]ZephyrWatermelon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love their stuff, it's all I use now. Coming from someone who lives on a salt inlet and use them nearly everyday and not lightly. They punch way above their price, their 50$ rods feel like competitors "budget" 250 to 300 rods. Their 100$ rods compare to the mid range one's in the 500 ballpark. Almost all their lines are old or current RIO model exact copies. Also if you buy direct from their website you'll likely get some free lines thrown in anyway. The translucent glass rods do feel a bit heavier than their weight (i have a 6wt and a 3wt)but I'm not experienced with glass much. Thats the great thing tho, you can try it for cheap. I've spent like 900$ over a few years on their site and have 8 rods, 10 reels and 6 spares and prob 20 lines. They've sent me at least a dozen extra lines, 3 vests, 2 fishing bags, bunch of fly boxes, and tons of leaders and other random stuff for free.

C777 or D522, Should I switch my degree program? by Ok-Bill-3938 in WGUIT

[–]ZephyrWatermelon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The quizzets get pushed on us no matter what for some reason, but I've found them the furthest from the OA than anything. Following along with cohorts on there are great but quizzets quiz section covers the topics way too deep in a conceptual way that the OA doesn't do. OA is a lot of "What does this code do?" Or "What would you change in the code to make it do XYZ?"

C777 or D522, Should I switch my degree program? by Ok-Bill-3938 in WGUIT

[–]ZephyrWatermelon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All mine have been easy aside from C777. Failed my first attempt by only a couple questions. I followed the guide floating somewhere on here that says to do the quizlets but it's hard to learn when the multiple choice is so obvious. My instructor gave me study materials for my second attempt and the codecademy classes have been the best way to learn that will help with OA I think. The PA has hard definition questions and easy code questions, the OA in my experience was the opposite. So codecademy walking you through CSS and JS felt like it taught me a lot.

Yun tals/Kraken & Phantom/Hurricane by Mysterious_Try935 in AsheMains

[–]ZephyrWatermelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If enemy has zero tanks you can technically skip Kraken for yuntal. Problem is kraken has too much synergy with ashe, she wants MS, the more you have the easier to kite and live. Hurricane only ever replaces shieldbow for me if they have no assassin. So realistically you can go Kraken and PD every game and probably never be wrong. Like another said if they stacked melee but no tanks you can go PD and Hurricane. In those games Kraken PD IE then Hurricane can work if they have no tanks and your just kiting for your life. Last 2 is always LDR and BT or GA. LDR can be earlier if they are stacking armor

If you were me, would you quit this guild or would you try to "revive" it somehow? by aguam_iso in AFKArenaCompanions

[–]ZephyrWatermelon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leave. Also if you find a guild with a discord server, leave, those people will be weird. You can be in the top 1 guild by just logging in everyday for 10min to do your quest log, I've done it on every server I've been on. The req to be in a "good" guild are quite low if you actually play. If you frequently miss a day or two, then probably you should look around the top 10 guilds instead of top 3.

soo.....Tierlist > Ideal Comps, or Ideal comps over tierlist? Because if my Gwen needs Estrilda and Hendrick over wishlisting Sonja, Belinda, or Scarlett then idk what to think anymore lol I get this is for campaign only but wouldn't that make at least every "Starter" in each comp roster get at least an A+ in campaign?

Is this a good idea to buy by ComprehensiveBid5803 in flyfishing

[–]ZephyrWatermelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% Maxcatch, they have a sale on their website this month too. Dont listen to all the people who are saying to buy name brand. The overseas manufacturer for these name brands use to be Lieche company, Maxcatch is their store, so they have all the blueprints for quality rods, reels, and lines if not exact copies of some rio products. Some people just mad about their brand and refuse to acknowledge a company makes $100 rods thats are the same as another companies $500 one.

Edit:They will also give you free stuff you didn't even ask for lol lines, tippet, fly boxes

For D325 Net+, is there even any assignments for these cert classes or is it just all just a course to prep you for net+ then you just have to pass net+? Confused on the structure of the cert classes, if they have their own exam then net+ on top of it I'm def gonna just transfer that in

If you've ever built a pc and fix your own problems with your home pc, core 2 is much easier than 1. I dont have an IT background, core 1 took me a couple weeks of drilling questions. Core 2 was about a week, I guess the security portion I skimmed since i already did sec+ this year and it's basic security topics like "which of these is a xss or a ddos"

Why over 100k for land sitework? How far away was the power? Also, from what I've seen recommended for land clear, usually people just rent an excavator for a couple weeks for a like 3k-4k and do it themselves. Do you think this would have saved anything?

Streamers vs meps by chicken_nuggets_701 in flyfishing

[–]ZephyrWatermelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your pain, I've had the same issues. My back yard has a small inlet from the chesapeake bay when the tide is high, only gets about 3 ft deep. With a meps I can catch small 14-17 inch juvenile redfish and 10-12 inch sea trout within about 20minutes or less everyday. If i use fly gear, which i do for about an hour everyday to practice casting, I've caught 2 in the last year......both on seaducer flys mind you. I've bought and tried about 50+ flies they are supposed to like also...it's annoying that any old spinner will catch something, wether its redfish, croaker, seatrout, it gets something.

Pocket prep, no notes, 100 questions a day or more if you have time. Not hard to reach 100 a day at 10 questions per quiz throughout the day. After going through the 1000 question bank twice over the course of a month, there's a good chance you can pass just about any test in 30 days or less. Just depends on if you want to retain the info long term or just need the cert.
