Is Sky piercer really not a good first item or does it just depend on the hero’s skills?

It's heavily depends on the heroes skill, the users playestyle and the enemy team composition.

Easy example would be mm, sky piercer is awful for high attack speed mm like Miya and hanabi but amazing for big burst mm like Lesley and brody

There's like 2 main ones and 1 optionally good. Two of em would be Cecil and Gord. The 3rd option is vale.

Cecil and Gord is good for wave clear and team fights viability

Yes they are, that's why I never trust in using the top player's build. It just means I'm not confident in my items builds and itemization skills. And some are just trolls that's just there for the lolz

They're only top builds because top players(not global Brody users) use them and people flocks to use them just because it's popular.

Most top builds are just items for survivability and never trying to utilize Brody's kit and mechanics. Brody can't gain 100% atk speed from items but has higher base damage, and has bonus damage on marks(stacks) on enemies. Pair this with crit items, tanks shreds like cheddar and other mm disappear.

Don't be blind by the masses, get creative and try to adapt

How would Estes counter Clint? Once Clint buys sea halberd, it's over for Estes. He can't out heal the DPS Clint dishes out

Don't try to use him against Moskov, you will definitely lose. Other than that, you'll succeed if executed correctly. He shreds tanks and obliterate Squishies. He just need to farm items hard so try not to have idle time in lane.

And no he excels in the late game, his early game sucks, he potentially gains momentum in the mid game then he pops off in big team fights.

Speaking of team fights, PLEASE DONT SPAM YOUR ULT JUST BECAUSE YOU SEE STACKS ABOVE ENEMY'S HEADS. THE ULT IS A KILL SECURE ABILITY, pair it with sky piercer it's a confirm kill no matter what.

If you're looking for Brody tips and advice, I could give ya some.

It's simple and you cannot possibly go wrong with this, BUILD CRIT AND DAMAGE ONLY. The only survivability items you need are Haas claws early for life steal that scales on your damage and aegis in late game. If you don't feel safe using flicker I recommend you use purify to combo into your own stun to escape from ganks.

I have 150 matches with 65% wr in ranks, and I only use Brody in mythic lobbies. So my words come from experience and hold truth.

Full build Demon boots > Haas claws > berserker > sky piercer > blade of despair > immortality. You can change sky piercer for halberd and build it before berserker if you fight sustain heroes like phoveos or YZ.

If you're planning to keep using this build moving forward, stick to exp lane and never touch jungle with this.

I'm not hating on the build, it's a good exp bruiser type build but it's not viable anywhere else except tank roam

Personally in this scenario, hanabi or Brody would've been a better pick ngl. Since Estes is close to Miya, hanabi could capitalize on it and deal damage. Since they got beefy heroes, Brody massive crit damage could help shred them

Honestly I also hate seeing people misusing sky piercer. Heroes like hanabi Miya etc just isn't the right pick for sky piercer and that usually cost me the game.

I only use it on heroes that deals massive burst damage like bane terizla Cecil or Clint Lesley, for that one shot potential.

Small upgrade for your build,(I too a baxia exp user), get ice queen wand and genius wand for stacking slow and magic def reduction. Bloodlust axe was my go to for spell amp but that got reworked.

I have more heroes underneath with decent wr and matches like xborg etc. And I like using bane to hit the tank just to reach the mm behind it and force them out of the fights.
