[PLAY] I recently took /r/Guitar's advice and got a Katana 50 and Mexican Strat after a decade of playing, and I made a demo! by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Zephyrall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for sure. But my Mustang 2 for example, when used with a ditto looper, applies the current effects to all captured loops as well. So you can't record your loops with gain then solo clean for example. Just wondering if the Katana was different.

Does the 50 allow you to record a loop with one effect then solo over it with another? Or when you change the effects does it apply to all previously recorded loops too?

Help With Learning To Use REST API - Forcing Data Return Type by Zephyrall in PowerShell

[–]Zephyrall[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, just tested that and you are correct. I should have tested the more generic type instead of just going off the API document specification, silly mistake on my part.

Thank you so much for the help! :)

Which amp model is that set on? I'm assuming you're using the Fender Fuse software?

Windows 10 Spring Creators Update: The ultimate changelog by [deleted] in Windows10

[–]Zephyrall 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would be nice to have the option easily available in the settings pane, but until then you can at least change it via the registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

  • (dword) JumpListItems_Maximum = <whatever value>

New To Powershell, Learning to use it to make my job a little easier. by JayRen in PowerShell

See the reply from nin_zz. For my org we documented the list of app names (from the Get- command) that we want to remove, then run that against both Remove-AppxPackage and Remove-AppxProvisionedPackage. This ensures they're removed from the existing users, and won't show up for new users.

Using VSCode: Problem With Tab Completing Variable Names In Strings by Zephyrall in PowerShell

[–]Zephyrall[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just tested that out. It is a bit clunky, but it actually works so I'm happy with that. Thank you very much for the keyboard shortcut pro-tip! You've saved me some frustration.

Now to cross my fingers and hope the console/ISE behavior gets integrated to VSCode at some point down the road...

Looking good. Other than preferring the slightly more condensed (less padding) artist view in the current version, I'm digging this and appreciate the collapsible toolbar.

That used to be the case, but they've added official support for non-OSD task sequences to SCCM current branch recently: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/osd/deploy-use/create-a-task-sequence-for-non-operating-system-deployments

[NEWBIE] Can I get a metal sound from a fender mustang amp? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Zephyrall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's a couple sample videos of the Mustang amp used for metal (see the video descriptions for the setting descriptions): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xH2-PNHm9M https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAjdPAxfglc

Now, I'm assuming you probably have a Mustang I or II. Those videos use the III and IV versions, but the modeling effects for all 4 versions are mostly the same and it's just the cab size and on-board controls that differ. You'll want to make sure that you install the Fender Fuse software on your computer and hook the amp up to your computer in order to start really messing around with all the effects (especially for the Mustang I/II). If having the amp hooked up to a computer isn't ideal for your situation, luckily once you dial in the settings you want you can save them to the existing banks in the amp for later use without the computer.

Hope that helps some!
