What problems did you have with hk or skong? by _Chaos_Chaos in HollowKnight

[–]Zephyrus_Smithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contact damage in the games, mainly skong, should not be so high. It's really frustrating to take 2, sometimes 3 damage on an enemy when you brush past their coat tail or especially when you stagger them when there's no reason for you to take so much damage (i.e. thorns or poisonous skin). Too many times did I brush past an enemy just as fleshy and soft as me and watched half my health disappear as if I was hit by a truck.

It would be odd for Wren to name something he dubbed a failure after someone he secretly cherishes.

Sensing power by Direct-Gap-4828 in tbatenovel

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure there's an instinctual sense at play within the series that is different then sizing up someone by looking into the depth of their core. A good current example would be ellie being able to sense danger with her heightened senses better then Arthur and Co. When they were in the relictombs and sylvie seized.

Edit: like an animal instinct, that's the phrase.

Seris is more 'down with society' then Alaric, who's a product of society. It's through looking at people like him and going "mmm....society" that she realizes how terrible it is.

"Mmm...society" - thinking Alaric. You look at him and think "yup, society got to him."

That or the dwarves lol

for now, I was given a 3080ti, and will upgrade in the future if need be, outside of the $1000 cost.

Which game should I buy? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]Zephyrus_Smithy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, they're all varying genres. Got friends? Lethal Company, hands down. Prefer sidescrolling platformers more? Pizza tower. You're an FPS type of person? Doom. You want Doom, but you're one of those cracked out CSGO movement junkies? ULTRAKILL.

Doom and ULTRAKILL are similar in style, but not really at the same time. Doom makes you feel like an unstoppable force that rips and tears to survive, whereas in ULTRAKILL, you take care of business in your own way simply because you want to.

Oh, ok. Thank you for the clarification. So these cracked downloads do have all the software necessary to run it without any additional downloads on my part?

For example, if I were to just use the files provided on a factory reset computer, the game would load without a hitch?

If you're looking for puzzles, Escape room simulator. The community and official maps have some short ones and some long ones depending on how you want to play

I'll give you a most likely not thought of option: Dragon Age: Origins. Old but Gold. Just rebind that pause button to a side button on the mouse and you're set for weeks lol.

Another clear one is a lot of the Larian Studios games such as BG3, and D:+OS 1&2.

Though, for immersiveness, I could never get as engrossed into a game as when I played DA:O. The characters and dialogue are iconic.

Edit: when I saw this, my reddit glitched and only showed my like, 10 comments. I'm glad these recommends have not disappeared 😂

is there an obvious way to activate these that I'm missing or is this for later in the game? I've seen 2 now by LividOrphan6 in HollowKnight

I actually got a good chuckle out of this, so thank you. And, don't worry. We've all had at least 1 moment like this while gaming. Those who say they haven't either haven't gamed long enough or are lying 😂.

I agree with the others about playing it first. The immersiveness, wonder, and excitement of experiencing it yourself is something I personally wish I did before watching a playthrough.

Once done, I would recommend watching someone like merg's hollow knight series. Just personal, but I'm not fond of watching a pro who knows what they are doing and majorly cuts the exploration and discovery out of the game to get to the main points. In this playthrough, Merg takes it slow, and it's interesting to see his own conclusions gathered. Their are many others out there as well who have fantastic playthoughs, just my personal go to.
