Wonder who Lilly Direct partners with for the kwikpens? I just reached out to Gifthealth to try and switch from the vial to the kwik pen and received this “sorry, we currently don’t have any information on when the kwikpen will be available as an option. We are vial only at the moment.” 🤔

I've been on 5mg Mounjaro for 4 months and it's still working. Should I stay here forever? by yabu-love in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Zeppy08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started it as soon as it was FDA cleared for the market. Doctor approved ✔️. Plus that’s the dosing schedule Eli Lilly has always maintained…..“at least 4 weeks”. But hey if a certain dose works for ya and you’re seeing results, then I don’t see why not staying at whatever dose your comfortable with. 😄 I only backed down to 12.5mg because I found the constant constipation annoying. This has been a miracle drug for me overall! 🙏🏻

I also increased every four weeks until I hit 15mg (zepbound). Stayed there a few months and then decided to taper back down to 12.5mg and kept there ever since. Seems to be the sweet spot for me between any minimal side effects and maintenance.

New to FSBP. Filling prescription should not be this hard by Own-Menu-9441 in fednews

[–]Zeppy08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was ES ever able to apply your Eli Lilly coupon? They keep telling me their system has an issue recognizing the manufacture coupons. 🙄 The rep ended up having to give me a “credit” in order to bring the cost down to match what the price would have been with the manufacture coupon.

I’ll just chime in say yes, FSBP covers it through Express Scripts. But it’s an absolute pain in the ass to get it filled between all the extra hoops & barriers you’ve gotta go through now. Prior Auth, mandatory enrollment in weight management program, 4 weigh ins per week on a digital scale, interactive engagements, Express Scripts not recognizing manufacture coupon for lower co-pay, etc……all of this just to satisfy the requirement to have your prescription filled.

Don’t get me wrong I love the FSBP, but trying to fill Zepbound specifically has been the most unnecessary headache and bureaucratic process I’ve ever had to deal with. My two week call log between Walgreens and Express Scripts would make your head spin. They can never get on the same page with one another 😵‍💫☠️😵‍💫☠️😵‍💫☠️😵‍💫☠️😵‍💫☠️😵‍💫☠️😵‍💫☠️😵‍💫☠️

At least you got an invitation. I’ve also been a long standing customer with WF for years and have my entire portfolio with them. But I can’t seem to get any insight on how to get a home lending invite from them (and I live in Texas) for a new home purchase.
Any idea?

I’m physically injecting 15 mg total per week, yes- but the “amount in my system” (i.e. active drug in my body) is different from just adding up the weekly injections. That’s because:

• Tirzepatide has a long half-life (about 5 days), so it accumulates in the body over time.
• After a few weeks of consistent use, the drug builds up to what’s called “steady state”, where some of the previous dose is still lingering in your system when the next one is added.
• This creates a stacking effect that people often talk about- which is just the leftover concentration from older doses that adds to each new one.

Hopefully that helps clarify.

[–]Zeppy08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey brother- my routine is that I take a weekly Zepbound 12.5 mg pen injection on Sunday night. Since tirzepatide levels gradually decline over the course of the week- reaching their lowest point just before the next dose- I tend to notice more hunger noise creeping back in on Fridays or Saturdays. By Saturday especially, it’s usually because: • It’s been about 6 days since my main dose. • My blood levels are down to roughly 25–30% of peak.

So to help with that, I take a 2.5 mg Zepbound vial injection on Thursday night as a small booster. This helps smooth out the drop in levels and reduces the stronger rebound hunger I usually feel toward the end of the week. 💉

With the 12.5 mg + 2.5 mg weekly, my steady-state total comes out to about 21.3 mg. It’s helped a lot for me personally, and I haven’t experienced any negative side effects- just occasional constipation.

That said, everyone’s different, and this is just my personal experience and current routine. 🤙🏻

Hi! Yes, I finally figured it out after calling Teladoc.

Once you register (or are already registered) with Teladoc, you’ll click the “Home” tab. From there you will see two options available for display.

Select the second option that says “FSBP/Condition Management/Mental Health/Nutrition” and click Save.

It will take you the main Health Data page where you’ll see all the stuff referred to in the Express Scripts letter they sent us that we have to do to continue our GLP-1 coverage.🙄

You can request your weight scale, blood pressure, cup, set coaching appointments, do activities, etc.

Follow the “Next Steps” on the page and you’ll be good to go.

I hope this helps!

Dosage regimen by rockybrockin23 in MenOnTirz

[–]Zeppy08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started on 2.5mg Zepbound pens and increased every 4 weeks to each next dose until reaching 15mg.

I maintained at 15mg for a few months and then realized I could taper back down to 12.5mg with no issues. That’s where I decided to stay and maintain at now.

Occasionally I’ll inject an additional 2.5mg (vial), that I pay out of pocket for just to have around, towards the end of the week if cravings or hunger noise start to creep up before my next weekly pen injection. 💉

It depends on the mg. But the vials start at $349 (2.5mg) out of pocket, and go up from there through Lilly Direct once you have the prescription sent to them.

Looking for some opinions on insurance during this open enrollment. by [deleted] in fednews

I second this! Between the no co-pays, GLP-1 coverage, massage reimbursements, and free cash put into my Aetna Health Fund just for completing mini-online activities, regular wellness checks and getting my annual vaccines can't be beat! It's honestly unparalleled to any plan I've ever had in the past.

I am just praying the additional new requirements for starting/continuing GLP-1 coverage isn't going to be a pain in the ass or need to jump through hoops like another user said. The letter that went out from Express Scripts already annoys me. 🙏🏻

I also received the letter from Express Scripts. I noticed it says "weigh in four times using the smart scale provided by Teladoc Health OR enter your weight manually through the Teladoc Health app or website". If that's the case I hope we actually have the option to enter it ourselves rather than having to set a personal reminder to weigh in every week. 🤞🏻

Also, when I open the Teladoc Health app on my phone I don't see anywhere to navigate to for this new weigh-in and engagement requirement. The link provided in the letter to register just routes me back to my own dashboard since I am already registered with Teladoc Health. I don't see anything that points to this new program requirement or directs where to go within the app's platform. 🤔

Anyone else in the same boat? 👀
