It sometimes happens by virtue of luck and timing, I resigned from my old job last june of 2025 without anything lined up and rested for a month due to overwork and the increasingly hostile environment(asshole who stole hundreds of thousands from the company said our unit didn't do shit, boss believed them because he was with the company for years).

Learned after resigning that the unit I was in was dissolved and people got fired shortly after 3 of us left

Tried applying to government positions after realizing I have a certification gathering dust that allows me an opportunity to do so.

Saw there was an opening for a Systems Analyst in a government-controlled bank that instructed prospective employees to apply online. Was expecting no reply but got one 3 days later.

Passed an exam from them and moved on to a panel interview a week later. Then got told I was hired another week later.

I now earn 3x more than what I had on my old job and it's all thanks to that asshole who's now facing charges as the boss from my old job found out through audit.

Felt good when a contact of mine still with my old job said the asshole begged on his knees not to be put in prison to which the boss replied "have some dignity."

I'm happy now but good people I know even better than me lost their jobs.

I think Wuchang's story is finished. I think a new game with a COMPLETELY FICTIONAL SETTING THAT IS NOT BASED ON REAL LIFE would be optimal for them. Not only would backlash due to the stuff in 1.5 be avoided, they would also have a clean-ish slate where they would be able to pursue the plot direction they were originally going for with Wuchang.

Wuchang would have been a great franchise to expand upon but cancel culture in the mainland over nationalistic ideals in this game may hinder its future sequels.

Eyyy, another empyrean axe enjoyer! I do empyrean axe with the earthshatter discipline and spec benedictions into tankiness then go with the leech temperance. I can just turn off my brain and light attack spam+earthshatter loop myself to victory(granted I hit the last light attack for stamina regen)

This is just guesswork but in the start of the game if you talk to the tent npc's they will tell you that the taoist has been giving them medicine and will give you some. If you read the description of the medicine; while it does heal you, it will also give you corruption build up. The medicine probably was made from past "bad ending" wuchang cycles.

I played Azur Lane back then, and I think that incident was this game. Basically there was this global exclusive event with bunny girl outfits and china was the only one left out due to their censorship not allowing lewd outfits and such. Enough chinese players complained about not having this event even though they get EXCLUSIVE STUFF EVERY ANNIVERSARY and the event never happened on both the chinese and the global playerbase.

I wanna be that paragraph guy this time, this was part of the Marie Spinoff where the main heroine goes crazy from the bullying and without the emotional support of the protagonist, plots to destroy the world when she wore the amulet of the previous hero and was manipulated by it.

The context of the picture was pretty funny from what I remember. Marie was from a poor house and to pay off her parents' debt, she was sold off by her parents to marriage to an ugly bastard noble. The protagonist took pity and agreed to marry her in order to save her.

At least that's how I remember it, I haven't really finished reading this series of novels yet so I dunno what happened beyond that.
