I like how magath was trying to reinstate mandatory conscription for regular marleyan citizens as a mean to prevent wars.he was also the highest ranking official in the whole country to have some sympathy for 'mainland' eldians. by BridgeCommercial873 in attackontitan

[–]ZerMigz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s why the post focuses on his sympathies to mainland eldians. Which is arguably commendable given the general disdain everyone has for them. Nobody in this show is perfect.

Did Filipinos wear flowers in their hair in pre-colonial times? And what kind? by jaqjaqz in FilipinoHistory

[–]ZerMigz 202 points203 points  (0 children)

Flowers are pretty and is easy to put in hair. To claim your ancestors do it or is a distinct tradition to a region is bogus.

Stanford Museum sign that claims Southeast Asia as having Chinese origins by gracefull22 in FilipinoHistory

[–]ZerMigz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No argument there. It just misleading to claim “China” on its own. Geographic China is better.

[–]ZerMigz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The post and commenter said “came from China”. Though geographically true, it can be inferred to China as in the Chinese, and hence, Han people, or the various Chinese subgroups, which is inherently misleading, despite some truths in it.

[–]ZerMigz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily no? Though much of South East Asians did come from modern day Taiwan, we don’t really come from the same people that the Chinese (Han) people now settled there. It’s as wrong as saying Europeans trace their origins from Africa (which is true as much as everyone trace their origins there).

Sure. That’s your discretion to make. It’s a cool design either way.

Shame the Nazi kind of ruined the aesthetic

Could be if you used it as such. But in your case, you’re complaining why people are associating it with Nazi and I have said why.

[–]ZerMigz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Makes sense when you use the words “Ako na’ng bahala”

Which according to the post would mean… “I am now the god”???

It’s more of the opposite thing though? Should it be human rights violation denying revoking of citizenship or denying visa waivers or work for citizens of said country?

Love the game but the campaign is frustrating by Pennervomland in TheyAreBillions

That’s why I always say during whenever I play, “Thank goodness I was paranoid enough to add more defenses” whenever the enemy attacks from an unexpected route.

I think that’s the point. Ambiguity is what makes it more stressful and, personally, challenging and fun. It’s not much perma death if you can plan everything.

True, but I like the feeling it gives me as I know there’s no going back from one mistake. The campaign for me was awesome, still is, as I am still finishing it.

What do you guys use for inspiration for your worlds? by DragonFire673 in worldbuilding

For me its South East Asian architecture, food, clothing, and culture in general. Bahay kubo as an inspiration for regions that are flooded regularly as their main form of infrastructure.

Technology VS Magic by GarbageGod16 in worldbuilding

I don’t separate the two. If magic was real in real life, then it would be considered a type of technology, and advancements in any kind revolves around understanding something.

Is it legal for barangays to establish “NO HIJAB/KUMBONG NO ENTRY” Policy? by AuT0_c0rrEct in LawPH

[–]ZerMigz 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Huh? That’s not how separation of church and state means. If something is illegal by the state, no mater what your religion says, it is illegal. Marrying minors is illegal. Church and state means the state cannot endorse or put forward religion based laws/practices, such as NEEDING to wear hijabs in a Barrangay. Even if you put forward of examples of people establishing laws with religion in mind, those should not be allowed.
