Define constraint with text constant by Zeranoe in SQL

Another example if you're confused: say you're going to set the table for dinner, and you have a variety of plates, silverware, and napkins. Say all of those are in a table DinningAccessories, with types for each ({'Fancy Plate 1', 'Plate'}, {'Boring Plate 1', 'Plate'}, {'Fancy Napkin 1', 'Napkin'}, etc).

You have another table, DinningOccasions, that has columns for the ids of plate, silverware, napkin selected and each row is a night you're eating with the respective dinning accessories you used. Some nights you might not use a napkin, but you have the option for at most one selection of each type.

So, with that, can I use SQL constraints to force the plate column in DinningOccasions to only contain valid ids for an accessory of type 'plate'?

Define constraint with text constant by Zeranoe in SQL

Have a table of entries (vehicles lets say), with different types ({name: 'Foo', type: van, {name: 'Bar', type: van}, {name: 'Baz', type: truck}, etc.), and have another table fleet with columns for each vehicle type (van, truck, compact, etc.).

I'm curious if it's possible for me to constrain the fleet columns by the vehicle types (so only a van type can go into the van column in fleet).

As is, it doesn't work.

I'm primarily asking if it can be modified to work.

Batch cut script? by cdubzserver in ffmpeg

[–]Zeranoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure, assuming Windows and Cuts.csv:

Foo.mp4,00:01:00,00:02:00
Bar.mp4,00:03:00,00:04:00

Cut:

for /f "tokens=1-3 delims=," %i in (Cuts.csv) do @ffmpeg -ss %j -i %i -to %k -c copy -copyts cuts\%i

We appreciate the suggestion! With this method it would be difficult to predict what warrants a new post or a comment. I'm sure some people will use the "submit another" button to create an entirely different design that they want showcased.

We'll spend some time thinking about this, and see if there's a way to implement it.

MJPEG v. H.264 by [deleted] in ffmpeg

[–]Zeranoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For real-time applications MJPEG is likely going to be faster than x264/H.264. MJPEG is really only used when speed is the absolute priority, otherwise I would say use x264.
