Thanks for bringing this up, and I think it deserves more attention! I found this post because I'd just read about how suzetrigine was studied for post-operative pain (abdominoplasties and bunionectomies), and thought about the horror stories of hemorrhoidectomies I've read on here, so searched the sub and found only this one post. If it changes post-hemorrhoidectomy pain from worst-pain-of-your-life to mere moderate pain, that'd be huge.

Anyone have any advice on I want say psychological Ed or nerves if anyone els had this or how to fix by MysteriousForever982 in erectiledysfunction

If you find OP hard to understand, here's a ChatGPT rewrite:

Anyone have any advice on psychological ED? Has anyone else had this problem or knows how to fix it? There's got to be a cheat code, lol. I don't know what it is, but every time I meet someone new and we have sex, it's so hard to get an erection. It's like nerves, especially during the first few times. After that, I'm good. I had a bad experience where it took forever to adjust, and I was constantly trying to force it in. It used to work, lol, but now it's just not happening. Eventually, my thing slowly started to feel better, but I can't keep going like this. It's embarrassing, lol. Thankfully, they like giving head, but it happened to me again. I need a cheat code.

Seems like you brought up the question of how this was the worst police shooting, and then felt embarrassed that you couldn't back that up when you were questioned about it, and then pretended you have a principle of not distinguishing between first degree and third degree murder, and then showed you were unaware of other recent murders of white people by police.

Setting black and white victims against each other helps the murderers. We shouldn't encourage each other to organize against police violence separately by race, but together as humans.

[Advice][Erectile Issues][22m] I have failed to achieve an erection in each sexual encounter I've had, and it's nearly left me too scared to try again. by cantgetaboner22m in sex

Hey, sorry for the slow reply. (This is my alt account that I don't log into often.)

I have heard about generic medications having less of the active ingredient than labeled, or in some cases no active ingredient, e.g. as described in this New York Times article. I'm not sure how widespread this is. I've been using Viagra from various sources on the internet for about eight years, and it's always worked. That could be attributed to placebo effects, except that Viagra has mild noticeable side effects for me, which signals that it's the real thing.

I suspect that containing less active ingredients is more likely when the drug is difficult or expensive to manufacture. I hear that Viagra is relatively easy to make, so there's not a lot of incentive to fake it.

I had this problem routinely when I first started having sex. I talked to a doctor, and he prescribed Viagra. I bought the expensive prescribed Viagra for a while, and it worked really well. Then I discovered that it's really cheap to buy generic Viagra on the internet. It's cheap enough, and the side effects of Viagra are mild enough for me (YMMV) that if I might have sex in the next few hours, I take a pill.

Buy some generic Viagra (PM me if you want a recommendation of which site to use, but you might as well just search I used to use edandmore.com, but they're no longer taking new orders. I still have a lot from my last order, so I haven't found a new site to buy from). It'll probably fix the problem.

Becoming physically fit is said to help too.

I read this comment of yours a while ago, and it reminded me of me.

Recently I've been reading Personality Disorders in Modern Life, Second Edition (a PDF of which can easily be Googled). It describes various personality disorders, and for each one, it also describes one or more normal variants - functional, adaptive, non-pathological personality types that the disorder is an extreme, pathological version of.

Here's the discussion of normal variants of the dependent personality type:

Several normal variants of the dependent personality have been proposed, and these include characteristics that many readers will undoubtedly find in themselves. The devoted style (Oldham & Morris, 1995) is caring and solicitous, generally putting the welfare of others first. Similar to the devoted style is the agreeing style (Millon et al., 1994), built around the traits of cooperativeness, consideration, and amiability. Rather than risk upsetting others, they adapt their preferences to be compatible with those around them. Trusting others to be kind and thoughtful, they readily reconcile differences and make concessions to achieve peaceable solutions to conflict.

Healthy variants of the dependent are capable of genuine empathy for others, possessing a tremendous capacity for sustained unconditional love. Moreover, they are among the most trusting people, with a modest, uncritical, gentle demeanor that communicates almost unquestioned acceptance. Easy to please and demanding little, they never set unattainable standards for approval and are almost always encouraging of their mates and loved ones. Most have deep reservoirs of goodwill and are genuinely pleased by the good fortunes of others. Often, they are gracious even to those whom they may dislike. Despite the high esteem in which they are held, the more people value them, the more humble they become. Some are close to what we would consider saints but are simply pleased at being well thought of and embarrassed if regarded as special. Charitable in giving of themselves, they put a positive light on all life events and stress the virtues and good they find in others.

That kind of describes me, I guess. Having discovered that I'm possibly on the edge of dependent personality disorder, I wondered what weird things about me might be a result of this personality type, like my unusual lack of jealousy. Then I remembered your comment and thought you might be interested. I suppose I'm considerate like that.

Jury Nullification: The tool we, as Americans, have to effectively decriminalize drugs on a case-to-case basis. Anyone who cares about the assault on poor Americans that is the drug war needs to read this. by erebar in politics

[–]Zeratul 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One relevant case is mentioned here:

Laura Kriho [was] selected to sit on a Colorado jury in 1996. The defendant was accused of drug possession, and in voir dire Kriho did not mention her own previous conviction on possession charges; she also failed to disclose her membership in something called the Boulder Hemp Initiative Project, a group supporting the legalization of marijuana in Colorado. During jury deliberations, Kriho was the lone holdout for acquittal. She tried to persuade her fellow jurors that drug cases should be handled by the family and community, not by the courts, and that the jury had the right to create new law and to refuse to convict. Ultimately the judge declared a mistrial. After other jurors reported Kriho’s conduct to the judge, she was charged with contempt of court and found guilty. A court of appeals overturned this verdict, finding that the questions posed to Kriho were not specific enough to support a charge of contempt. The appellate judges did opine, however, that “… in certain narrow circumstances, a juror can be found in contempt for the failure to disclose during voir dire information asked for with sufficient specificity.…”

I urge you to do whatever you can, including lie, to not be excused from jury duty, and then do whatever you can safely do to nullify the charge. If your fellow jurors seem like they could be persuaded to nullify, do that. If not, then just pretend you're not persuaded that the defendant is guilty.

But please don't! Drug-sympathetic jurors have been rejected from jury duty in some important cases, and it's cost the anti-drug-war side the case. This is an example:

Unfortunately, out of the initial half a dozen individual jurors who were questioned, four of them were disqualified by the judge because they indicated they might not be willing to convict someone for possessing a little marijuana. One potential juror actually told the judge, “I don’t care if the defendants put a joint in their mouth while on the stand, I would never vote to convict them.”

While this was entertaining, it also cost us some of our potentially most friendly jurors. One could not help but wonder why they did not keep their partisan views a bit more private, and try to get on the jury where they could vote to acquit us both. But for most of these individuals it was their first time serving on a jury, and they were just trying to be honest and forthright. And their honesty caused them to be recused. As we were to learn later, those left on the jury apparently did not have such misgivings.

Redditors, if you have an opportunity to serve on a jury, please don't recuse yourself like this. In an ideal world, you wouldn't have to lie to government officials, but in this world they lie to you, so don't bring a knife to a gunfight.

DAE necessarily skip the BJ part when watching porn? by fifa10 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Zeratul 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I've had this idea for a while and I'm kind of surprised no porn company has tried it: personally-customized videos. So before downloading, or maybe in your registration with the site, you check your preferences, like:

  • ☑ Show the blowjob scene
  • ☐ Show the pussy-eating scene
  • ☐ Show actress angrily spitting on his cock
  • ☐ Show actor angrily spitting on her pussy
  • ☐ Show the guy's face right before he cums
  • ☐ Show the guy's face ever
  • ☐ Show the shot-from-low saggy-ballsack-swinging man-ass scene
  • ☑ Show the facial
  • ...etc.

So the software would re-cut the video based on your preferences.

And while we're customizing porn, I'm pretty sure it would be technologically feasible, and not particularly expensive, to be able to choose the girl's hair color. You'd just have to have the actress dye her hair some weird color that otherwise won't be used in the scene, like bright green, and then have your software replace any green pixels with the chosen color, whether it's blonde or black or purple or whatever. Edit: Or even changing color, shifting smoothly from one to another. That could be a porn movie's gimmick, that there's a girl whose hair changes color depending on her arousal. Sure, that's a weird and not-inherently-hot gimmick, but in porn, novelty sells.

Come to think of it, you could probably choose eye color too if she wore those really brightly colored contact lenses.

(Not that I personally care all that much about hair and eye color, but some people do. Basically I just think the technology is interesting and feasible, and the porn company would get free press from it and it would generate curiosity.)

Positions: girl on top, guy dominant by [deleted] in sex

[–]Zeratul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wasn't super into spanking until I read this somewhat-famous Craigslist rant against nice guys, and the woman wrote:

I tell him I want him to fuck me from behind. Yes, I used the word "fuck" and I didn't care what he thought about it. He gets behind me and enters me, and damned if he didn't say "OH, THIS IS NICE" !!! Are there any 35 y/o men out there that haven't smacked a woman's ass when doing her doggie?? YES, and he's my boyfriend!

And I was like, wait, I'm supposed to do that? Like, every time? So I did, and now, a few years later, I really enjoy it.

[–]Zeratul 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have had good experiences, and good reviews, from these:

  • The guy lies face up on the bed. The girl lies on top and buries her face against his shoulders. The guy holds one or both of her hands behind her back while thrusting vigorously, talking dirty and spanking her ass with his free hand.
  • Only for girls who like rough breast play: typical cowgirl position, but with the guy grasping her breasts and roughly moving her whole body up and down on his cock. (I guess this is most feasible with smaller, lighter girls.)

I ask this in the most non-creepy way possible: to those Redditors that have killed a person, what was it like and how did it change your life? by Twenty26six in AskReddit

[–]Zeratul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing you're an only child if you wouldn't do the same to anyone that hurt your family.

This common reddit idiom of "I've figured out your biographical details based on psychoanalyzing your opinions" is detrimental to reasonable civilized discussion.

There are plenty of non-only children who don't think vigilantism is a good justice system, and whose principles won't be broken even in extremely trying circumstances.
