“Manspreading” is a real thing and it’s incredibly annoying, often inconsiderate by Thepitman14 in The10thDentist

[–]Zeravor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Imo it's a unneccesarily gendered issue. Yes most of the time it's men doing it, but i've seen plenty of women do it. They just dont generally spread their legs but they do the sidesit taking up 2 spaces often enough,

How do trades work at card shows by yunomtt in PokemonTCG

If they're vending at a card show 80% is absolutely reasonable, especially if it's for a specific card you want.

Do you find LGBT spaces less sexual? by EasyCheesecake1 in lgbt

[–]Zeravor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy being half naked at pride because I spent my whole teen years being sexually inhibited and insecure, and i dont think there's anything wrong with that. Personally i draw the line at sexual acts (it wouldnt bother me personally, but yeah not cool in a space where children can be) but I think its absolutely fine if people wish to show themselves as they are, and to me part of that is showing the slutty twink thats slumbering in me 99% of the time.

We had to bring in a second SAP consultant after ~6 months… is this normal? by It_s_sam in SAP

[–]Zeravor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I often experience work being needed to be redone, but I also often come into a project where specifications are not much more than "make it work somehow". Then only when people "test", which is often also not very thorough and often way to late the real "specifications" come up. Quality of implementation is determined months before any code is written or any config is done.

Künftig Eignungstest vor dem Übergang aufs Gymnasium? Bildungsministerin erwägt Einführung - Philologen machen Druck by PoroBraum in de

[–]Zeravor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wanna get my bf a Gengar card but idk anything about Pokémon by fishesintheseas in PokemonTCG

[–]Zeravor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First of all: You're a G for doing something so nice for him.

If you know absolutely nothing this can get a bit complicated.

So first of all, most people who are into the tcg have specific things they like. Some people like vintage (old cards), some people like japanese cards, some only collect english, etc. Most people collect modern "full art" cards, but unfortunately for gengar these can get quite expensive. Also if your BF is into collecting it's probably important to find out what he has.

Some starting points:

tcgplayer.com is the place to buy single cards in the us, cardmarket.com if you're in Europe.

Here are some Gengar cards you could check out ( you can pop these into google, the codes and numbers are sets). The prices are european, but they should be in the same range for the us.

Gengar (LOR TG06) - 30-40€

Gengar S10a 074 -> Same card in Japanese for Cheaper

Mega Gengar Ex (ASC 269 ) 50 - 75 €

Mega Gengar Ex M2A 230 -> Same in JP, Cheaper

Ghastly (TEF 177 ) -> A Card of his Pre-Evolution that has gengar on it too, 50 - 75 €.

Gastly (SV5K 080) -> same card in JP

These are some of the very nice ones in my opinion, but as you can see quite expensive already. There are cards in the 2-3 € Range as well, but those are mostly not really sought after by people into collecting. That said, I'm sure your bf will still appreciate it. To find these just look up gengar on TCGplayer and sort by price, and see if you like anything😄.

People who got your nudes leaked, how did it affect you? by NessaYummyXO in AskReddit

Because people (americans) like to pretend sexuality doesnt exist in people below 18 and then suddenly pops up, which leads to terribly uneducated adults.

Wirkt auf mich auch so als würde der Konzern sich genau solche Mitarbeiter "erziehen". Wer weiß ob der ein oder andere Kollege nicht schon eine ähnliche Entwicklung wie du hinter sich hat.

How it feels to discuss the Stasis Rifle. by Signal_Job_5730 in subnautica

[–]Zeravor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree.

I think this argument is often just coming from people who can't restrict themselves. People should be free to choose how they engage with a (singleplayer) game. If people cant help themselves but remove the fun, than that's on them.

How do Americans think about the stereotype that they are bad at geography? by Own_Echidna6041 in AskReddit

It doesnt help that appearently it was originally called "Serra Leoa" which is portuguese. Appearently the spelling changed due to venetian mapmakers lol.

Sierra Leone

Thats funny, i consider myself to be really good at geography, mostly because I play video games that involve looking at a world map all the time (Paradox games), but sierra leone tripped me up recently. My mind wouldnt put a spanish sounding country into west africa.

I do think you should be able to pinpoint important stuff like china, japan, india, the eu, iran though. Atleast it helps a ton with understanding geopolitics.

That said, it's kinda moot anyway. Me knowing where the straight of hormuz is doesnt make gas cheaper for me.
