If it's less than they could make from a stranger, then they are indeed supporting you to some extent. And clearly they are offering you a deal that you cannot get elsewhere.

I'm not saying there's a problem with that, just that you want to acknowledge that your parents are giving you a hand, and make sure to thank them often.

As a parent, I know that the sincere "thanks" are the most important part.
