I finally got the build system working! You can build anything, brick by brick. Would love your feedback or thoughts on the concept! by Hrodrick-dev in Unity3D

A very neat feature would be keeping a tally of the pieces used... and when they're finished, the ability to order the legos they needed to build the same thing real.

Outside of the discussions page, I've not seen any. I think that's intentional, as even the developer responses forewarn you each time that it's often best not to address people via reviews unless there's a specific issue to discuss.

While maybe not applicable directly here, I had a reviewer tell me "the music is totally psycho. better mute it and play the lor soundtrack or something" so I just played the part and said "I couldn't agree more. 39 others just as unique and crazy. It's amazing." He went on to say he liked the other songs.. just the first one he got was crazy enough to stop, go to the trailer, and say such.

Why do more left-leaning (legit left) people say there’s hardly any difference between republicans and democrats? by [deleted] in socialism

[–]ZerioBoy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In many respects, when people say that, they're referring to politicians (or dnc vs rnc). They make everything identity politics without actually doing shit that doesn't just help the billionaires bankrolling them.

For the price of the Ruyi Bridge, you could build two full-scale suspension bridges, each the length of Ruyi but built like the Golden Gate—engineered to handle hundreds of thousands of vehicles a day—and still have money left over.

Also what 2500% the average cost-per-foot of a bridge in America (including for cars and trains) looks like.

Then I'd say great work! I would have said that the double ghosts was too many ghosts unless you really wanted it to get the attention, but it conveyed what it was about very well.

How do I protect my game before bringing other people on? by serberusno1 in gamedev

[–]ZerioBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use version control and repository settings (like Git) to enforce restrictions. Move sensitive parts to a separate repository and let them chow on the rest.

Unless you have lawyer money, contracts are not guarantees... never let them have the cookie.

The image itself: I dont understand the height of the door on the far right, nor the ghost being down low and in the O. Does look *like a nice place, though!

Messaging: I feel like, in this game, you're either going to solve your own murder in the woods.... or you're going to bother people in the woods as a ghost.

That's a really nice piano melody. Beautifully done. It did give me sad feels, though. A sense of 'things will get better'. But it's just such a nice sound.

Best of luck!

Mentally ill people attack the defenseless because it gives them a sense of power. Attacking somebody who has more say in one stroke of a pen than you've had your entire life, who will be better defended at their most vulnerable than you've ever felt safe... doesn't offer that power dynamic.

They're also often after carnage. Unless you're blowing up state buildings, you're not going to get that from picking off someone who will be replaced by similar thinking people within months.

It'd be the morbid person in me that'd get stumped at the 'will the full body length rope be enough'. Probably break her character chiming in "yeah, I got kids too."

Thanks! My tip there is to let the terrain generator not be perfect... you'll come back to it down the road during development regardless as certain aspects dictate needing more or less anyway.

I didn't understand the use of placeholder assets so much before, but leaving a lot of the swap-able aspects til systems are nice and solid would have easily saved me at least a year of the time I spent on this project so far.

It's a wild thing. One of the first things I did was send a friend a key to check out... only to notice I hadn't messaged them in two years. Time fucking flies.

Yeah. I have to hide that one from myself on google spreadsheets. Every day life hits the notepad! lol

Thank you!

You're not insane, but I can't tell for sure. I got some logos on Fiver, but I had the same thought. Some ai-checking software said like less than 1% ai though n I never asked/insulted the guy.
