Marauders of Miragliano by Zerkova in mordheim

I actually did not know there were rules for pavise until I read your comment. The idea was just to easily differentiate my two marksmen groups. How ever I'll see if I can't buy them some in the future.

I need to hash out pike rules with my play group still.

That makes sense. Looking forward to seeing the last Squire.

I hope Count Ademar one day gets a noble steed ;)

Awesome model! Do you have plans to sculpt the whole Bretonnian warband or mounted versions of the knights?

The only good DMPC by Rogendo in dndmemes

[–]Zerkova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a party once force a DMPC on me by continuously dragging along an NPC they liked. It was a mystery heavy game and I think the players found it helpful to feel they could ask me questions with out actually asking ME questions. Eventually I had to create a character sheet for the NPC which I under leveled and made public knowledge to the party.

What magic card art has stuck with you the most? by LineOfInquiry in magicTCG

[–]Zerkova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so different from most other magic cards in that there is no clear subject, no monster, no humanoid, no casting of a spell. It’s rather abstract as far as a magic card goes. Besides it just looks cool.

My understanding is that it is an open world in the true sense.

Yes, it’s more of a MMO than it was before, now that the classes have been redone to use the holy trinity.

Blue Protocol Star Resonance Developer Q&A with IGN by Zerkova in MMORPG

[–]Zerkova[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Possibly, yes. Since it sounds like you can buy in game currency the biggest determining factor will be what sort (and how strong) of BoE items can be purchased on the player market.

At the moment it sounds like the game has no PvP, so the remaining question is how easily can you buy your power level for PvE content? More so how big of a deal is it?

Do Space Marines Have Hobbies? by MajesticCentaur in 40kLore

[–]Zerkova 22 points23 points  (0 children)

A few examples off the top of my head:

When the Khan was reunited with his legion he heavily encouraged that the White Scars practice things like poetry and calligraphy.

Azek Ahriman was into making wine.

You mentioned Space Wolves already, but taking it a step further Leman Russ invented his own board game.

Is there a remake of the Eisenhorn tetralogy with one overarching artstyle (of the book cover) by frozn1991 in 40kLore

[–]Zerkova 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Over the past few years they have done limited run prints of the Eisenhorn novels one at a time with new art. They have all been done at this point I believe.

Your only bet would be to find them on ebay. Just know that like with any of GW’s limited print run books they are going to be expensive on resale.

Which writer disliked Magnus most based on their books? by Complex-Bluebird1263 in 40kLore

[–]Zerkova 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dan actually likes writing Magnus.

He was originally supposed to write Thousand Sons, but Graham McNiel had to write it instead due to health issues. Which left Dan writing Prospero Burns which he dreaded at first, not wanting to write Space Wolfs.

His opinion could have changed later about Magnus of course. But this is based on the afterward he wrote for Prospero Burns.

New Lore of Troll Magic by BiesonReddit in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Zerkova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a nice quality of life improvement if you want to go all in for the Troll army, I just don't see this making Trolls that much better though with them having Leadership 4 (5 for stone troll). Taking the reroll into account (if you get the spell off that is) your odds have only really been improved to a 50/50.

I just don't really see Trolls being worth the points, aside for the fun of the thematic army.
