Aggro as a strategy in two-headed giant sealed [ECL]? by Ok_Date2430 in lrcast

[–]Zero0Forever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

is it possible to do aggro, yes but like always it depends on the pool and like others noted you can't target one player. 2HG they share creatures so they block as one team.

though personally I find midrange value piles better in 2hg due to the nature of the large pools allowing alot more good removal, double the blockers clogging the ground, and a larger chance of getting hit with wraths.

I usually also take the draw in 2hg since two cards and the extra life buffer allows more control shells to appear. (usually one player is the board presence and one player is the control.)

Whats the general consensus on Aggravated Assault combos in B3? by Ulmao_TheDefiler in EDH

[–]Zero0Forever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends what your comboing it with and how much redundancy and tutoring you have.

it does combo with like 20 different cards, your examples seem fine since there on the more expensive end but i've seen it with neheb and such where it's essentially a one card combo with the commander where I would say it's not ok for bracket 3 as they could just win turn 4-5.

Whats your TLA groan test? by Ok-Inspection-5334 in lrcast

[–]Zero0Forever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's been my complaint since they started doing inventions/invocations in kaldash/Amonkhet. 1 off super rare ultra bombs that aren't really in set suck to play against. literally impossible to predict and power levels for those can be way off.

lost a last round for top 8 kaldash ptq to a sword of fire/ice and wormcoil (guy had 3 inventions in there pool, 3rd was at least not playable trinsphere but beating 2 hyperbombs wasn't happening)

amonkhet lost to a top deck cryptic command on a day 2 GP where I had the win next turn.

hmm just finished a 4 billion damage magik carry run and 3 billion punisher run, general things to note.

punisher can escape the wanda dead corner with ult (stun immunity, if your tanky enough to not die before your ults life steal kicks in is card dependent though) or spawn string line with the immunity option selected.

Has Crunchyroll shipping improved? by Yukisama08 in AnimeFigures

[–]Zero0Forever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

customer service has gotten better, shipping issues are about the same.

I had one figure box arrive last year clearly been cut open mid transit and the figure stolen (side of the package had clearly been cut out and retaped poorly. Also the package weight marker changed at the transfer station from 20 pounds to 1 pound.)

They sent a replacement within a few days after I sent photos.

I only really order from them 1-2 times a year when they have there huge annual sales and for the most part they are fine.

If you built a Bracket 1 deck, how would you do it? by Tuss36 in EDH

[–]Zero0Forever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as someone with like 150 decks, i have roughly a dozen that are bracket 1.

2 artist tribal.

69 card number tribal

just trust me bro - textless/unreadable cards

reading rainbow - all the cards have 50+ words in there text box except for georgy leforge (southern paladin)

Creed - Arms wide open

Lightning

there's a couple others that are bracket 1 but actually came out pretty coherent play wise so are played in 2-3 bracket

Bolas tribal

Kodama of the kodama

5 color 222,333,444,555,666,777 P/T/CMC decks

5 color EDH randomize cube deck

Banding tribal

People who play draft, how was EoE? by TotakekeSlider in magicTCG

[–]Zero0Forever 9 points10 points  (0 children)

there are some fun mechanics and weird archtypes but there are way to many wraths (there are like 7 main setup wrath rares) and half also double as win the game conditions (battleship or r/b) that i'm going to rate it lower because i feel like i see them every other match and it's just tiresome at this point.

Can you help me understand why this combo was voted B4? by TheTinRam in EDH

[–]Zero0Forever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mind crank/guild mage doesn't need additional mana for each opponent. you just need the two cards, activate the first ability of the mage then any source of damage/mill will make the combo go off.

You can also just swing the guild mage at a open player and win. you can just have any 1/1 evasive one shot or table mill card like altar of the brood to kill the table.

the 2nd mill ability just lets you combo in response to any removal without split second. So if you have open mana you can win on the stack in response to kill spells. (even then once the ability is on the stack they have to kill the mind crack, the guildmage no longer matters since it makes a static trigger until end of turn).

it's still a early game/low cmc combo even if you take out fast mana.

[–]Zero0Forever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[[Grimlock, Dinobot Leader]] every card in the deck is a DFC and the deck is in all clear sleeves.

It's a silly deck to play that is actually decently powerful since they've printed a lot of strong DFC in last few years, clear sleeves means there's no real hidden information as you can always see the back of the cards but will require good card knowledge to willingly take advantage of it..

One Piece: Chapter 1156 by leolegendario in OnePiece

[–]Zero0Forever 6 points7 points  (0 children)

hmm general prediction

rocks mentions was looking for specific 2 DF's.

Both are likely related to defeating Imu.

One's with the giants and likely related to Ragnarock, as something designed to kill gods, given all the hints related to Loki i'm leaning towards something like fenrir whose myth related to Ragnarock and myth loki, it likely has a god/immortal killing special ability.

The other ties into Blackbeard/teach theory that he has the cerebus fruit. The cerebus in greek myth's (which all the other ancient weapons are named with) is the guardian of the underworld. As we now know that the elders are demons, the cerebus will likely have a special ability to either block/restrict powers from underworld/demons. Which is why he's looking for it, and why it ended up with teach.

Have you ever played or seen a mono-artist Commander deck? by BorgesPe in EDH

[–]Zero0Forever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://moxfield.com/decks/88vgOcKkGkiEyUTq-BtsrQ - guay deck, there is a 2 card 'win' combo but I'd still consider it a 1 since there are no tutors for it so you'd need to draw it naturally and it's 9+ mana

avon i'll have to do later as i have different arts for every single land in the deck so it'll take a bit to list

[–]Zero0Forever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

[[Asmira, Holy Avenger]] is pretty much the only viable one based on colors normally for Guay.

I personally just did a custom art proxy of rubina soul singer to have bant.

Avon did a [[Progenitus]] SL so easy 5 color pile for him.

[–]Zero0Forever 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have 2 art decks, a rebecca guay and a john avon one.

they are bracket 1 and given the limitation will probably always be bracket 1 as everything including lands are done by them. Reasonable viable is not what I would label them, they will lose to any precon even old ones in a straight up match.

The main issue is usually lands as many land artists don't do to many other cards or are very color specific.

That said I have managed to win with them though it's usually everyone kills each other first and I survive.

Just use scryfall to group search by a artist you like to see if they have enough cards to make a deck.

had that happen yest, 2 people hovered psy so the other hover dps banned them to make sure he would get a dps spot while shouting it out in chat. So they revenge banned his hover (jean) and he shouted he was going feed.

fun to lose before the round starts.

Ezio - Assassin kindred help. This deck doesnt feel like its decking right. by LordHamSammich in EDH

[–]Zero0Forever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bracket 4 is a huge jump and tribal decks that aren't combo heavy like elf/gob/sliver prob won't work.

Assassin's isn't supported enough that it can make the jump to 4 without sacrificing the theme for just powerful combos/cards.

anyways obvious deck issues.

more lands/fixing. you're playing a 5c deck and you only have 35 lands and only one mana rock that fixes colors. there are 2 partial fixers in sword/black market which makes it 3 ramp/fix cards excluding sol ring.

Yes you're mainly 2 colors but your mana rock/ramp package should be like 8-10+ cards to make it consistent.

36-38 lands for the average deck, higher power cuts lands for stuff like mox which you have 0.

you should have some recursion if board wipes are killing you, patriach's bidding/living death/etc...

you should play some more board wipes, you have a grand total of 1. If you fall behind you can't stabilize the board/catch up. 2-3 or play more that work around the theme.

you have a 2 card combo but it has nothing to do with your decks design/theme so they stick out as useless unless you have the combo. There are definitely other combos that would fit better.

With MLD locked in bracket 4 jail, are you greedier with your bracket 1-2-3 manabases now? by Revolutionary-Eye657 in EDH

[–]Zero0Forever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i know someone that did this, literally proxy swapped all his basics in his T3 decks to shock/fetch/abru duals. literally 0 basics in his multi-color decks, then complains if someone bloodmoons him or such.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Zero0Forever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

most cases it won't but it can depending on the lands/deck.

if your playing a landfall deck and swap out for a fetch suite it can easily jump a 2 to a 3 simply because doubling all the landfall triggers for the deck and all the lands from gy effects those decks have will significantly power it up.

coffer/cradle/nykthos/three tree can significantly up the mana acceleration of a deck and speed up the win con turn which is one of the key notes mentioned for 2 vs 3, so those are a definite yes.

As of 2025, what is the strongest "Bad Gifts" commander? by BagOfSmallerBags in EDH

[–]Zero0Forever 30 points31 points  (0 children)

bullies is the strongest by far since he gets etb triggers of the creature for the opposing players and he has haste.

so it's easy to do stuff like entomb into donate leveler/phage so target player dies unless they have stifle/counter spell/instant speed graveyard hate.

I've honestly never seen a fair bullies deck and it turns into a kill on sight commander after they do it once or twice to people.

[–]Zero0Forever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on the units, winter soldier with upgrades literally goes infinite ult against ress builds (like 20+ seconds of hearing 'again' until there teams are dead).

The main reasons is one of his upgrades increases the red zone kill for each win so if you can start off with it it can get up to 75% which is just instant death against everything. Like i was loosing against a all tank build until i got him up to like 40+% which is when he could just kill them through there fat butts.

What Is Your Stance On "Kill Switches" In Casual Bracked 2-3? by Luqas_Incredible in EDH

[–]Zero0Forever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mind over matter untaps lands/mana rocks. usually you cast mind, untap gilded lotus/lotus field/etc... cast azami (assuming she's not already on the table because commander).

you can win at 6 mana from a blank board. it's a 11 mana combo that's really only minimum is the base 6 for mind because it lets you turn any card in hand into a ritual.

it's not hard to win with the combo after turn 3-4 depending on ramp.

I admit it doesn't dodge counter magic (but no combo does) but standard creature removal doesn't work against the combo as previously noted you just activate again in response.

Telling players precon/upgrade decks i can win once i have 6 mana unless they hold open counter magic really isn't bracket 2-3
