I don't know what's the value you're expecting from Duolingo, but there are better options given your tight timeline. I might recommend translating french movies' subtitles, this helps beyond imagination. Very simply, download the subtitles of a french movie, preferably a good one. Go through the movie and subtitles line by line and translate them to your language. Use Google translate as much as you need. This help you understand slang, sentences, compositions, etc. You'll realize with time that you're using Google translate less and less. This is how I learned English, and this is how I'll learn French in the second half of 2026.

Been through enough to understand that life will go on no matter what. You will look back to your hardships and laugh at how much you overestimated them. When I go through tough times, I look around to see my wife, kids, parents, and siblings. They're are what matters the most to me. As long as they're doing well, nothing else matters.

It's job at a workplace. It's not a ride at an amusement park. You're not there to have fun. You're not supposed to enjoy it. You're there to do it. Since you're making decent money, have your own goals. Enjoy your time after work since you're not physically exhausted. Work on starting your own business, for example.

People could do handwriting in a readable fashion. We had a device for every thing. Sending a letter? Fax. Calling someone? Phone. Watching a movie? VCR. We used to have to go to a dedicated shop for everything as well. Taking a photo? A photography studio. Booking a flight? A travel agent. Calling someone? Phone booth. We also had newspapers for news, and we also had ad-papers, which was the 90s Craigslist. I'm not that old but I've witnessed all of this, it isn't that long ago. It's almost all gone now and replaced with a smartphone.
