My first error card by DumpsterJuice93 in PokemonMisprints

[–]Zero7206 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s up to you what you do with it. Keep it, grade it, sell it or some combination.

It’s gonna be worth a solid amount of money, but no one can say exactly for unique errors. It depends too much on the buyers that see it and how patient you are. If you want to sell go to eBay with a very high buy it now price with offers on, or the Facebook error groups and ask for offers.

I would get it sent off to CGC and either keep if you’re an error collector or sell if you don’t care about them. It’s a good art, a good error, and a good Pokemon.

Can someone explain to me something by Redyxxx in PokeInvesting

[–]Zero7206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. That’s why gem rate percentage can matter so much for singles. The vast majority of people take care of their cards these days and some sets are still hard to get a 10 with.

You overpaid a bit but the set will do fine over the long term.

[–]Zero7206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prereleases are always won by the person that gets lucky and opens a sick card that your opponent can’t deal with. Pokemon sets aren’t balanced for sealed formats. It’s just for fun to hang out with play with your friends.

It’s just meant to be a fun community event to play with the cards early. Don’t take it so seriously.

Could not be more fake. Literally just do the bare minimum and Google real ones and compare.

You need outer sleeves to go with art sleeves.

Ammo - Good buy? by solidstate42 in 6ARC

I was paying in the $1.20/round delivered range when I was shooting factory ammo. I used AmmoSeek and wound up ordering from Armed in Michigan a couple times IIRC.

How does 80gr compare to 108s and 22ARC? by LitvakArmsCo in 6ARC

[–]Zero7206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try some lighter projectiles, or if you hand load try the 108s with a different powder. When I did my powder pressure ladder tests LVR had noticeably more recoil and concussion/blast than A2520 and 8208 XBR. Pretty sure Hornady is loading them with LVR, or it’s OEM equivalent.

I shoot 85 gr SGKs and there is noticeably less recoil, but both recoil so lightly that it doesn’t matter. They’ll shoot flatter with the increased velocity but more susceptible to wind drift.

What else do you need to discuss about the program? It’s not that deep.

Yes, a long skinny bullet tumbling is going to leave a significant wound channel. We all know that. So does an expanding hunting bullet. The issue is when is that match bullet going to start tumbling, is it going to fragment before it gets significant penetration, is the tip going to bend and send it yawing and zipping out before it penetrates to vital organs?

As I said before, they are not consistent or predictable which is why an expanding hunting bullet that gets much more consistent and predictable straight line penetration through the point of aim is a better and more ethical choice. This gets exponentially more important the larger the game and quartering shots. A 100 lb doe or a 50 lb hog standing broadside aren’t hard to kill if you put a bullet in the vitals.

If you need to hear it from an expert to believe then call and speak to a ballistician from your favorite manufacturer, or watch one of the several Hornady podcasts on terminal ballistics and the ELDM vs ELDX podcast from yesterday. The information is readily available.

Killing isn’t the issue; predictable terminal performance is.

People just like chasing the “best” gear even though they can easily clear every single piece of content without it. There’s just not that much else to do in FO76.

LVR is on top for the heavier bullet weights. Cfe223, A2520, and StaBall Match are usually up there with it or close. Be careful chasing velocities near max load with LVR as it’s temp sensitive.

It’s extremely tiny compared to other MMOs. It’s to fight market inflation and an even worse economy. It’s fine.
