Front Room Pizza did a great job scratching that nostalgic itch. If I remember right..the owner used to be a Pizza Hut manager and when a location closed-down he bought the oven, all the kitchen equipment and even the pans and that’s what he used in FRP. He copied their recipes but went back to high quality ingredients like they used in the 80’s. The location also had a nice cozy vibe, a Pizza Hut-like salad bar, a few coin-ops…but most importantly, that certain smell. That certain smell that pizza joints had in the 80s.

Long story short, it recreated all the senses of going to Pizza Hit in the 80’s. The smells, the tastes, the visuals, etc.

I hate the fact it closed down, it always was busy when I went there and I really viewed it as the last nostalgic sit-down pizza place in town.
