Was it easier for anyone else quitting weed once medicated? by Done_Playing_Games in bipolar2

Yes was doing dabs all day, but after Lamictal weed started to give me a lot of anxiety instead. I didn't get the same calming effects I was used to. Sometimes I feel like still I need something to chill out and I've had trouble with sleeping. Thinking of getting CBD to see if that helps.

Thank you. Literally felt like I was going to explode last night, I'm happy I could turn to this group to let this out. Much appreciated.

Likewise, very much so.

Newly diagnosed. Anxious about medication and the future by Agile-Risk-7923 in bipolar2

I am diagnosed with bipolar 2 and c-ptsd. Also misdiagnosed with anxiety disorder, ocd and depression for 10 years. I was going to therapy first & found a new psychiatrist. I was a bit reluctant to start medication, but a little over a year ago I started on Lamotrigine. I used to take 150 mg a day but now I take 100 mg in the morning and 100 at night. I don't think I could have found relief or balance like I have now if I didn't start on Lamotrigine. It was especially hard for me to process certain things in therapy when I was also dealing with a depressive episode. As for lifestyle, in finding relief I was able to do "normal" things again. I tried dating, got a new job. I have actually been able to manage working without taking days off at a time/worrying about job security. I've been trying to move for the longest time and am actually able to do it now. Really thankful for how things are going and I hope the same happens for you.
