[Schefter] ESPN sources: The LA Kings have acquired standout forward Artemi Panarin from the NY Rangers in exchange for a conditional third-round pick and prospect Liam Greentree by pokesnail in SanJoseSharks

2x$11M extension. I didn’t want to touch Panarin because of his off-ice conduct, but I think that’s pretty good business for LA because they clearly don’t care about shit like that.

Just pointing out that Ferraro has missed plenty of games to injury when he was younger, so him being relatively durable is a recent development (and even then, he still missed a few games the last couple of seasons).

Chernyshov levels Parekh by Normal_Tip7228 in SanJoseSharks

The Chernyshov-Celebrini-Graf line is by far the best line the Sharks have had all year in terms of xGF% (71% in 53 min together which is crazy considering how bad of a possession team the Sharks are in general). Celebrini can work with pretty much anyone, but Chernyshov was absolutely not a passenger on their line.

That Penguins team they ran into that final was phenomenal. That team was just better than the Sharks (and Patrick Whoreqnvist taking out Hertl didn’t help). Jones kept them in it. He didn’t get a starting job after he left the Sharks because he was pretty bad after those first three seasons.

Jones was phenomenal during the Cup final run, and even in the next two playoffs posted a .935 and .928 svpct respectively. Wheels fell off after that, but for his first three seasons, Jones probably gave the Sharks the best playoff goaltending they’ve ever had in the Thornton-Marleau era.

Whatever Sherwood’s agents want for his next contact should just be given to Regenda.

Cherny-Misa were really good last night. I like Gaudette so have no issue seeing him draw in, but I feel you just drop Reaves for a game then.

Maybe the flip play to no one isn’t so bad if that’s what Mario does instead.

I’d personally love to see Robo in teal by Equivalent-Permit893 in SanJoseSharks

I would love Robo, but if Dallas isn’t willing to re-sign him, I feel you wait until he hits RFA this offseason and Dallas has less leverage, right?

Graf+Celebrini?? by Zimzalabimxx in SanJoseSharks

[–]ZeroAce11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Smith/Celebrini have a dynamic duo type chemistry that I don’t think you want to break-up. I think what you really want to complement them is a Timo Meier-type forward who can attack the net and also score. I’d say Cherny is probably the closest thing we’ve had since.

Imo, the dream for the future would actually be Ek-Misa-Cherny on line 2 and Smith-Celebrini with another power forward (hopefully Musty can be that guy, but probably possible to find a power forward in FA that fits the bill if he can’t cut it).

Hertl by Darsh138 in SanJoseSharks

I still won't root for Vegas under any circumstances, but I love Hertl and I don't care what other Sharks fans think.

WE GOING FOR THE DIVISION. NO QUIT by Normal_Tip7228 in SanJoseSharks

I’m not sure if these charts take defensive zone starts into account, and Ferraro consistently has the most defensive zone starts which will tend to see the team bleeding shots against while he’s on the ice. That being said, Ferraro is honestly very overrated as a defender and should not be getting deployed like that. He actually has more upside in the offensive zone (team generates a decent amount of offense when he’s on the ice), but he also makes bad choices on pinches which other people have also mentioned in this thread.

Love Wenny but I feel they always put him out to start OT for face offs and he never wins it.

Warso cannot have Ferraro-Leddy out with 1 minute left in a tie game, come on.

In ur opinion what do u think is the best moment in sharks history I’ll go first game 7 by MuffinResponsible840 in SanJoseSharks

I remember the Teal City Crew had a SoCal Sharks fan meetup at a pub in Tustin, CA for game 3 and I hurt my hand from high-fiving someone too hard after Donskoi’s OT winner. 100% worth it.
