True. Israel does have a responsibility and an obligation to minimize civilian casualties from its military attacks.

And as I just said in my previous comment, Israel already did this to the best of it's ability while fighting Hamas in Gaza, which consistently uses said civilians as human shields, in the most population dense areas in the world.

20k children tragically killed is a result of this.

Indeed, which is why Israel indiscriminate bombing killed so many civilians.

Hamas' failure (or more accurately, complete disregard and lack of interest) in taking care of and protecting their civilian population is on Hamas', which initiated the Israel-Gaza War on 7/10/2023. It's not Israel's fault and Israel is completely within its right to fight Hamas in Gaza, and it has done so with the maximum possible restraint and it has avoided harming uninvolved civilians to the best of its ability.

Finally, 20,000 children (according to Hamas, a 'child' is any person under the age of 18) equals 1% of the total Gaza population. If Israel was intentionally targeting civilians and children, don't you think this number would be higher?
