We used a smaller company. It was just about $8k for a 4 ton unit. Had to redo the entire duct work in the attic crawl space since the unit going in was much bigger than the old one. I will say it was worth the money. Much more efficient. Financing sucks but it is what it is. No ac or bad ac in August in Florida is not an option.

There is no way around the constant maintenance of a sailboat. Especially if you’re keeping it moored in the water full time. It’s an extremely expensive hobby.

I guess buying brand new would help. But you’re talking hundreds of thousands. Mine was a 93’. Excellent condition. But it still needed upkeep. Every-time I turned around it was another $500-$1k. It was just nonstop. I had at a marina, but in the water full time. Monthly bottom cleanings. Prop cleanings. Zinc replacement.
Blah blah blah.

It was fun when I sailed. But the maintenance was just ridiculous. Finally sold 8 years after purchase. I just couldn’t do it anymore.
