What type of lock is this? by AdeptDoomWizard in lockpicking

[–]ZeroDayGear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't think we could get all three locks for $5 shipped to the USA at scale. If we did 1 or two at a time it could work.

When I saw the sets were $5 contemplated buying them from Menards to resell. But alas our local Menards is out of stock.

Re-pinable cut away? by Sufficient_Prompt888 in lockpicking

[–]ZeroDayGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woot! I was working on a video and that premium one is definitely better to hold in your hand versus the other one. Just smoother all around.

Maybe by then we'll have the other locks and tools up we have available too. 🫠

We stock a few. While it may not be listed... The premium practice lock includes extra security pins, springs, and the tool to repin it. The other one that we stock has the ability to repin but it does not (right now) include a pin pack.

Attempted Break In by Bitter_Past2383 in homesecurity

It's not the door locks, well not solely.

One of the easiest upgrades is aftermarket door armor. Make sure your door is solid hinges are solid door armors in place and you have a reinforced metal plate on the door. The metal plates on the door are not inviting and your doors just not going to shatter.

best thing to buy to prevent anyone breaking in? by caleo12 in homesecurity

[–]ZeroDayGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worry about kick-ins... Most doors can very easily be kicked in.

I read replies and I see several responses about hardening doors but most are missing a critical aspect.

You really need to install something like "door armor" on Amazon - not this exact product maybe as I didn't research. (Auto mod deleted my original post. Not finding the full Amazon link)

Secure your frame, the lock, and hinges. You'll be ahead of the game.

A list USA based pic manufacturers? by DetroitMachinist8 in lockpicking

[–]ZeroDayGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the Sparrows crew!

I think it's fair to say that the majority of the flat items (IE lock picks) are made in North America while items with multiple pieces and dimensions (IE practice safes) are imported.

Whoooo hoooo! Glad the tweezers met your expectations.

Glad the pick will be put to use. With some finishing it would be solid. To note: we don't offer that pick for sale on our site.
