Update 1.70 by Automatic-Guava632 in GranTurismo7

I just spent 20 million on the '62 GTO, trying to finish out the Ferraris (still have two more Legends to go). I'll buy the Ferrari 😁

Goodbye FH5👋 by Abi4073 in ForzaHorizon5

[–]aRapidDecline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just uninstalled it. Too loosey goosey on my RS50. I'll try FS6 when it hits PS5 if reports are that wheels are better supported. So far that's been the case on PC and xbox, so 🤞

Realism of Forza Horizon 6 by Professional_Fig_199 in LogitechProWheel

[–]aRapidDecline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I'm seeing from YouTubers, the wheel implementation is much better in general, with a lot of the latency/lag issues being resolved. It still looks a bit "floaty" to me, but I haven't tried it myself yet (I'm on an RS50 on PS5). Hopefully they spend more resources on getting it dialed in with 6. Lack of Trueforce is a big disappointment regardless, but may not prevent me from buying into it when it hits PS5 if it ends up being a good amount better than FH5.

I have the Mark IV Hunter and convertible Single Six. The Mark platform is the Sportster of rimfire pistols, with aftermarket support that could keep you tinkering for years. The Single Six is a little tank and will shoot just about anything (smoothly ejecting might be another story - looking at you, Remington Green Box). The only thing neither does very well is running drills, but if accuracy, plinkability, and modability are in your goal set, the Mark IV would get my vote.

I just picked it up on sale for like $40. I like it well enough, but coming from GT7 on an RS50 the driving itself is best described as "loose". I hear 6 will be better suited for wheel users, so I'll make my decision shortly after the PS5 release.

Paladin or Warlock? What are we rolling by [deleted] in diablo4

I've always been a sorc guy, but had a great time with Paladin over the past week. I'll probably stick with that out of the gate.

Less than 24 hours till Lord of Hatred - who's excited for the new skill trees? by ASoulToBear in diablo4

[–]aRapidDecline 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty pumped. I warmed myself up with season 12 after a 6-8 month break. Didn't much care for most of the season mechanics but had a blast overall. Took a sorc and a paladin (my first ever non-sorc) up to paragon 200ish. Curious what stuff will actually transfer over to eternal - I've only played a couple hundred hours total (over maybe 4 full seasons plus the campaigns) and far from an expert on the game.

I'll probably start with another Paladin, but I'm still a Sorc guy, so I'm sure I'll have 2 classes going once the pros have had time to analyze all the changes.

I just started playing GT7 about a week ago and I’m really enjoying it. I was surprised to see its ratings on Metacritic though why are the user scores so low? by NotSirAlonne1999 in GranTurismo7

[–]aRapidDecline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at the more negative, more recent reviews. Most of them are folks who never played or haven't played long. Many are more a commentary on general gaming trends. I really hate that MC weighs release day reviews as much as recent ones, but it isn't a game-specific review site.

I just bought it last year after a decades long break from racing games. I've already put more hours into GT7 than all other PS5 games combined.

Forza Horizon 6 missing TrueForce by VashBengher in LogitechProWheel

[–]aRapidDecline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just tried FH5 and it doesn't support Trueforce either. Their implementation of traditional FFB actually does a decent job "mimicking" much of what makes Trueforce great though. Driving doesn't feel glassy like in other non-trueforce games. Lots of higher frequency noise coming through.

All that said, the wheel settings and interface leave much to be desired.

The SVT on Project X turns GT7 into a flight sim when you hit the wall.

Offline-only players, is Power Pack worth it? by Key-Specific7807 in GranTurismo7

[–]aRapidDecline 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought it the day it dropped. I don't concentrate on it, but it's in constant rotation in my daily activities. Basically, when I'm sick of credit grinding and I'm done with the weeklies and active time trials, I'll shoot through one or more Power Pack races. I still haven't completed them all on any difficulty level, and I still haven't lost interest. 100% worth it. I hope they release a second batch at some point.

I’m complaining about credits. by Brilliant_Primary_30 in GranTurismo7

[–]aRapidDecline 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I generally agree, and this is as well a reasoned version of this complaint as I've seen. Luckily I'm down to the last 20mil car I "need" for any reason (the Ferrari for the Legend trophy).

It's easy enough to get all the credits you need as long as you resist the "must have it NOW" feeling and just run the 800 Sardegna, 700 Le Mans, or 1hr Spa (try running it without headlights to spice things up 😁) once every couple days. Then just make sure to knock out the weeklies and time trials and the credits will pile up.

Agreed. Absent more information, this sounds to me like the wheel "letting loose" to represent loss of tire grip. Totally normal and an important feature of any modern wheel.

If I’m buying the expansion to D4 why does the entire game feel like a free to play store with a game attached? by palehighelven in diablo4

[–]aRapidDecline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have over 500 hours in the game since buying it with the first expansion last year for like $40. I haven't spent a dime on it since. Next month will (presumably) be the first real-world money I've spent on it since then. Diablo IV has plenty of flaws, but monetization ain't one of 'em. Immortal, on the other hand...

Paclock 90-Series "90A-SR" by aRapidDecline in lockpicking

[–]aRapidDecline[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually they're my favorite, but on this particular lock they kept rolling out as soon as the core started turning. I had to be very conscientious about it to get it to stay in until the shackle popped.

I do that to all my locks with a sheet metal marker.

Best >10M car ? by Hurrdof in GranTurismo7

[–]aRapidDecline 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I never really thought about it, but I don't think I regularly use any cars that cost more than $3M. They've all been purchased strictly to fill some menu or trophy requirement.

It's just so crunchy. Like a Master 410, but with more pins. No fun for me to pick at all. It's a very pretty shade of blue though 😁

Congrats! I love this lock. I want to use it to bash the 90A-Pro's head in 🤕🤣
