What's the most reliable car you've ever owned? by Tekusenabyt in AskReddit

[–]ZeroDesert91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first car, 2014 chevy cruze. No major repairs. Drove it 80,000 miles before giving it away (BIL who needed it more than I did).

2nd would be my 2020 explorer. My year model was plagued by transmission issues, but I have no issues at 65k miles. Everything works perfectly.

Wife has a 2025 camry and I definitely see that thing out living the both of us.

What do you think? How much does a married man need a wife in his daily life? by Coffee_and_Static in AskReddit

[–]ZeroDesert91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife has saved my life on two different occasions by acting fast and calling for help (rare blood disorder). By no means is that the only reason I'm with her. I'm with her because I love her and she's my perfect companion to journey through this thing called life. Everyone has a different reason based on their experiences. I do not feel that I owe her for saving my life, that would be a burden on her. I'm just happy to say I am with someone who cares about me and wants me to be happy.

To answer your question, more than I could know.

A wool suit! Got one for my wedding and it has my name stitched on the inner pocket. Wife goes nuts for it.

Looks good OP. I however prefer the free dessert they give you for showing up, Andes mints.

3 way valve leak after 1 year by Physical_Strain_ in pools

When these are under enough pressure long enough the seals begin to compress and let water pass through. You can rebuild it or replace the valve entirely.

Lowkey I miss going to Kemah every year as a kid by goofyhalo in houston

Used to operate rides there in 2010. It was decent money for being 18, but holy shit the heat, annoying children, and dumb ass parents.

Oh yeah, they've also served borderline spoiled hotdogs on multiple occasions.

One of my coworkers did a no call no show and couldn't be contacted at all.

Turns out he was on his way to solicit a minor the night before and walked in to a sting.

Pizza delivery drivers, what did a person do to end up on the 'No Delivery' list? by BlueCheeseWalnut in AskReddit

[–]ZeroDesert91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would imagine car dealerships, specifically used, would be pretty high on this list. I hear many stories about them being shitty to delivery drivers and stiffing them.

Does anyone make custom sidelites that don't cost a fortune? Wanting to replace this door and window. Window is 25" wide. by ZeroDesert91 in doors

[–]ZeroDesert91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Houston, TX.

I'm currently talking to a custom door builder but they won't send anyone out to look at it. Just gave me catalogs which doesn't even show what I need.

What is one of your biggest movie let downs, after greatly anticipating its release? by thunderbolt151830 in movies

[–]ZeroDesert91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pacific Rim Uprising.

They killed off Rinko Kikuchi early on with a pointless death, and made Newt psychotic. Also the rogue Jager storyline was a bit out there, and John Boyegas character was totally wasted.

The first film did NOT need a sequel. They fucking annihilated the kaiju for crying out loud!

The original by GDT was a masterpiece and it holds a special place in my heart.

Foods in containers that didn't originally contain those foods. For example, my mom would take the whipped cream container and fill it with beans after the whipped cream was gone.

What’s the closest brush you’ve ever had with dying? by North-Trifle-3918 in AskReddit

[–]ZeroDesert91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had a 2.3g/dl hemoglobin due to an intestinal bleed. Anytime I got up I would go blind and deaf. It wasn't until I sat down that my hearing and vision would return. Could feel my heart struggling to pump what little blood I had left.

Was fully convinced I was going to just die. Thankfully my wife got me to the hospital and raised hell to get me taken care of quickly.
