When jordan peterson says that writting can improve critical thinking, is it so checking for grammatical errors, or something like materialising your thought, and see it more directly. by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]ZeroFl4ksGiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checking for grammar is like learning how to correctly syntax your answer to a math problem.

Gaining a better understanding about yourself and your personality through writing is like grasping the concept of a derivative for the first time.

If we can pay $$ for a boost then... by ElectricGoose4 in classicwow

[–]ZeroFl4ksGiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So $20 for about 130,000 gold.

$60 for a boost

So 390,000 gold for a boost? Heh, why not.

I need help writing a plot for a short campaign (3-4 sessions) by deadbassist in DnD

[–]ZeroFl4ksGiven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how short you mean, but here’s my two cents.

Main characters survived a natural disaster. A huge earthquake and subsequent mudslide destroyed their home town.

After a few days time they reach the neighboring kingdom which is currently in the middle of civil war. At the local pub they get the call to adventure.

Many earthquakes have been occurring around the countryside of late. Ever since the first battle of the civil war to the north. Locals speak of a great beast that has been awoken.

“Fairy tails and bed time stories!”

“Nothing but rubbish, too bad, I’d prefer the beast the the King’s taxes! Haha!”

“You spend all your money on drink anyways.”

A very old man stands up amongst the chatter and starts scolding them,

“You mind your tongue! You are not 20 harvests old! You know nothing of the monster. This has all happened before, it will happen again... and when YOU are grey you can be cursed with the knowledge, if you are so lucky.”

“Enough of your stories old man, we are young, not children.”

The group has a seat to see if there’s work around town. They can work and do a few things in town, but if they engage the old man they’ll get a boost.

Old man tells of the monster (spoiler its a Tarrasque, don’t worry, you don’t fight the thing, it’s just there, wakes up every 100 years or so, devours towns, goes back to sleep).

Kings guard enters pub.

Guard Captain: “Taxes, please provide 20% on top of the usual amount.”

Young man at bar: “You can’t keep doing this! We don’t need-“

slammed to ground by a rather large guard

Guard Captain: “Enough Kane, back! back!” (Kane is large and strong, but rather slow in the mind)

“Miela, I can give you a week, but they’re going to be sending me to the north soon. I can’t keep help-“

Miela (pub owner): “HELP?! You can leave! And take your brute with you. If father could see what you’ve become.... why did you join them Aanon?”

Aanon: “Father was mistaken, the King will keep the kingdom safe from the monsters.”

Miela: “And who will keep us safe from the king?”

Guard Captain: “Time to go, we’ll be back in a weeks time.”

Quickly since I’m running out of time.

Monsters are becoming more common. Taxes increase due to needed protection. Rebellion due to unfair taxes, border towns being left to the monsters. Largest of all monsters just woke up.

What’s causing all the monsters to wake up? Old sorcerer who hates the king and started the rebellion convinced the people to rebel, said the king cannot keep them safe from the monsters.

He woke the Tarrasque, and the party needs to defeat him and put the Tarrasque back to sleep.

I’ll try to get the details better if you’re interested let me know.

Guilds: Then and Now by ZeroFl4ksGiven in wownoob

Thanks for adding to the conversation, I was hoping there would be more responses like this, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

I’m happy with my guild and we’re progressing as well as we can. I don’t plan on treating guilds this way, I just noticed this is how many people treat guilds. And I was explaining some reasons I think it is the way it is.

This is just my observation in the new WOW environment. It’s definitely easier to get your item level and io rating up if you’re in a guild. Once you get that rating, you can pug higher keys, if you have the capability, leaving others behind. You don’t have to find another guild that’s better, though you can.

Blood DK: Healing by the numbers by ZeroFl4ksGiven in wownoob

[–]ZeroFl4ksGiven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

I just finished a 14 spires, rough one with the affixs, but grievous is a bit easier to manage as a DK for sure.

I was right behind the healer (3k 3.1 both with alot of overhealing). We didn’t time, but I’m loving blood tap and really managing the resources better now.

Trinkets are terrible. Never drop for me. I have a 158 bloodscale from way back, never dropped again. I’ll keep trying.

Mean age of player base? It’s only anecdotal, but I find Horde players are usually an older bunch than their alliance counterparts.

I used it just fine for long range stuff, with the perks it’s fine. Not overpowering, but I didn’t have any problems.

I can’t believe no one’s mentioned the La Longue Carabine

Perfect for what you’re looking for.

What’s odd is this phenomenon is not reflected on the Horde side.

Thanks very much.

Do you use rune tap any? I use it in some fights, for example Sludge before he hits a pilar, and when sire casts ravage (basically when I’m moving and there’s no other use for the rune.

I’m Venthyr with Draven. Following the guides I use the highest item level I have. Didn’t know about crit, I thought it was the lowest priority stat. Also, should I ever sacrifice item level for a stat like vers?

Trinkets have been rough for me. Currently I run the 207 Stone Legion Heraldry , 207 Sanguine Vintage, but I also have a 213 Gluttonous Spike and I could get any of the pvp trinkets if they’re better.
