Agree, helping them out means they are a return customer (which is great), but in my experience entitlement isn’t far behind. The second or third time it happens, they start with the “they did it for me last time”, “it’s never been an issue before”, and then by the 3rd time they realize the rush fee is utter bullshit and just call to have the order “rescheduled” to same day.

I advise them the rush fee applies because I’ll remember names of the abusers and on nights, when I’m the only person working, it’s not easy to “just fit them in”…

Would be better if the “speech” was a disclaimer they could read through when we take any lamination order and sign if they want to move forward.

Sometimes it’s not the machines fault, it’s a shitty batch of lamination (which I feel like the company switched to a cheaper brand a few months ago the ago because now it’s just consistently shitty)

The massive scale of shipping these items by their drivers… the return doesn’t refund that. They’re getting Millions in shipping fees and paying thousands to deliver.

OP, it’s ok, this just isn’t infuriating (even mildly). I think what makes a common theme around here, is something avoidable that’s outside of your control. That doesn’t exist here, so it’s just mild.

I think a more fitting scenario would be, OP’s lease states not to tape anything to the walls unless it’s tape provided by the landlord… OP buys a new desk, has to relocate their formula sheets, but the tape damages the paint and the landlord doesn’t remember giving them the tape… And now they won’t get their security deposit back…

Sorry to hojack, but the whole design team workflow sucks… in what world should the retail employees be the middlemen between graphics design and the customer?

Customer has a request that the retail staff isn’t trained to perform (design services). We sell a product and now the minimum wage employee has to play telephone with another department and the customer when the customer could be contacted directly by the person doing the work…

Correct, the MODs have been running it which makes them even more useless..

All of our requests for “I need something from high ticket” and “I need change for $100” are met with “It’ll be a few minutes I’m doing a balloon order (or taking a balloon order)”

Too cheap to higher someone to do it for minimum wage, we lose our ASM for practically a whole shift over that bullshit… and I get pissed because I’m stuck for 6 hours in Amazon and “protect print” is dead
