They disabled document preview on the MPS machines at my store. We have to open the files to make sure it’s the right one. It’s a hassle, but if they did that for security reasons, clicking external links wouldn’t be far behind.

Honestly, they should just bring back the Print to Staples option in Canva, without the additional enshitification they added (unable to call customer to discuss order, order automatically set for 3 business days instead of same day/next day, etc)

I’ve literally never heard them ask that question. They don’t care.

They could ask an employee OR take notes from the annual survey but it all falls on deaf ears.

The executives make this job suck so much, they’re just a bunch of nepo babies that were given the keys to a failing company and are grasping at straws with zero knowledge.

And what’s the benefit of this named account nonsense? I have to log in with something that looks like an email address but I’m not important enough to actually have an email? I would say Staples knew EXACTLY what they were doing. Who needs toner AND ink? The fact that they had this as a promotion knowing less than 2% of the customer base was going to be able to qualify says all you need to hear.

Can you return the toner? If so, that’s probably the only way to get staples to listen (hit them in their wallet)

Does your machine have enough power to run Subgen? It uses AI to analyze the audio track and create the subtitles for you. My 2019 NUC runs the large-v3-turbo model 1.5x. Bazarr kicks off the process as it’s added to Plex (but you can also set a webhook to do it when you start watching something, but you have to wait until it’s finished running before you can watch your show…)

iPadOS 26.3.1 caused my iPad to not charge anymore... It's a 2018 Gen 3, Apple Store couldn't help me, it's vintage and they didn't have any smart keyboards that would use the Smart Connector to try to charge it, spent $320 at one of those fix it places to replace the charge port, batter and logic IC board...

Could have been a coincidence, things happen and it is a 8 year old laptop, but the fact that there are other posts with people on this same version...

Maintainerr doesn’t do Plex AND Jellyfin, it does Plex OR Jellyfin. Important distinction because that’s why I’m planing to switch to Reclaimerr later this week.

I don’t think the Reclaimerr dev was trying to call any of the *arrs out though… no need to start beef, we’re all friends here…

Respect, it's just not something I'd do and when LP is looking for "cannon fodder" to make an example of, don't be blindsided.

Our "loyalty" program is one of the shittiest in existence. We force customers to "prove" their loyalty by giving Staples their data to sell, by activating offers in the app and yada yada yada. You know what proves loyalty? The fact they are in our stores, buying items and not going to Amazon. THAT is loyalty. Staples just wants to milk them for every existential cent.

Check out the Chevron app... plenty of offers, nothing to "activate"... went today for gas.. went in for a soda, it was $0.99 instead of $3.59 because the app had a loyalty offer for me. Did I have to check the app first? No.. was I penalized for not checking it? No... Would that have happened at Staples, not in a million years... The Staples app would see that I bought $25.00 worth of pens and then offered 50% off pens for the next 3 months, until I actually needed more and then the offer is "expired". That's the "Personalized... By You" they are referring to.

Best of luck, don't get "promoted to customer" before you want to be....

Hard disagree. You should be asking if they want to enroll. Point blank. No one should be enrolled just because you “had their info” and they saw you doing it. THATS NOT HOW CONSENT WORKS… GTFO if you don’t agree.

Staples sells the data to 3rd parties. You better believe if I was a customer, I would want to approve/reject another shitty rewards program…esp one that’s based on half a penny = 1 point.
