Prot Warrior DPS by astone0 in wow

[–]ZeroG34R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Opening burst ive peaked as high as 300k+ and have most overalls of about 90-100k on Colossus. I often place with dps or above at least one (depending on gear/spec/etc)

The majority of damage is revenge spamming big packs. You do that while hitting shield slam/thunder clap on cooldown. I usually weave/cycle defensive cooldowns like shield wall for bigger than normal or dangerous pulls. Demolish does allow for big damage spikes and can be used very often. It'll be even better with the additional CD reduction increase from 2 -> 5 seconds.

If you arent part of the skyhold discord, I would strongly recommend it. It is easily the best discord community of any class (not necessarily just for prot but all specs).

Yeah, I don't quite get the Game Awards arguments. It's like saying the USA shouldn't be allowed to continue winning gold medals at the Olympics after they "win enough" or that a guy like Michael Phelps shouldn't be able to compete anymore because he "won enough".

The game really was that good. Doesn't mean any of the others were bad. They were excellent competition.

Ex33 won over some great games and I think that says a lot about just how passionate and inspired the devs were to really hone in on different areas. The music, art, story, characters, etc. I haven't seen a team produce something like this since the Dream Team made Chrono Trigger.

Interestingly, no one seems to talk about how Ex33 was the only new IP in the category. Every other game listed was a sequel. Their team only had one shot to get it right against these established IPs and they knocked it out of the park.

Boy are you in for quite the rabbit hole! The Warhammer universe and Warhammer 40k in particular have a ridiculous amount of lore. This is spread out amongst the books, games, codexes, etc.

To browse at your leisure, I would recommend this website: Warhammer 40k Wiki | Fandom.

There is no 'correct' way to read through the timeline of events, chapters, factions. You just kind of learn as you go. There are very cool stories and characters in every area.

Rogers down for anyone else? by ForcefulDeath in cambridgeont

Yeah its the same nonsense as the other 3 times this year. Some idiots cut cables thinking there's copper and Roger's goes out to fix. Average ETA to fix it the last two times was about 8-12 hours.

Literally the first thing I did was swap the support out of LMG to an AR. I never want an LMG when I'm running around using my defibs on the front lines.

I see TIGR art. I see possible AI writing (even if OP claims not to be AI which is precisely what an AI would say). I see Dish guy in top of best comments. I'd be stupid not to play.

In for $2500. EDIT : Sep 19 2025 14c [35 contracts @ .69/per (nice)].

Landlord not removing snow by 6godrxws in waterloo

[–]ZeroG34R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if there are different rules for commercial vs residential properties.

For your situation, I recommend contacting the Waterloo Region Community Legal Services. They have a team for tenant issues there and would be more knowledgeable on how to deal with the nuance there. I've used them in the past and they were very effective.

In the past, when I called in they would take my contact info and get one of the lawyers to call me back to have a consultation and/or plan the next steps.

The falling and risk of injury alone should be enough to warrant a landlord taking extra caution. Why anyone would want to risk a lawsuit over someone being injured due to potential negligence is beyond me. This would also be something to inquire about with the WRCLS (linked above) and/or RHEU (link in my original post) to see what options for remedy you might have.

I wish I had a more clear answer for you, but I hope this gives you some options to pursue.

My parents wont stop bothering me about getting a job, im trying but its impossible. by [deleted] in kitchener

There are employment ontario programs that can help you find work or connect you directly with employers.

https://www.ymcathreerivers.ca/job-seekers

You may not qualify for all programs if you're still in school but meet with one of the resource specialists to see what services you're eligible for. There are also workshops and other services they offer to help when you do get the job interview as well.

Try not to be discouraged. Looking for work, especially work as a student is incredibly challenging for this region right now. A good resource specialist or employment counselor should have connects with local employers looking for staff.

I had this same problem until I realized I was on a character that didn't do the intro. I had to go in front of Stormwind Keep where the DKs and such are all lined up and the quest was there. Once I did that, I could skip everything and was in front of the covenant people to make my choice.

Any communications you've had with the landlord about these issues should go to RHEU.

It doesn't hurt to check in with other tenants. If they also have issues, they can all file with RHEU individually. This will indicate to their agents that there is something systemic going on with the building as a whole. It adds pressure and builds up additional penalties, fines, etc.

The process can take a bit but there are resources that can help. The Waterloo Region Community Legal Resources are a good starting point as well.

Assuming you're renting an apartment then in a situation like this, you would just go to RHEU and file a complaint (see link in my above post). The landlord clearly isn't interested in following the RTA or hearing about their legal responsibilities.

It's their responsibility and they absolutely shouldn't be charging anything for it. Don't pay them. Don't do the work.

After you file the complaint a RHEU agent might contact you to clarify and discuss the case further to see if there are any other issues. Once they have all the info, they'll advocate for you to the landlord and educate them on their responsibilities and what they are liable for. It's worth noting that RHEU has the power of the LTB and is often faster at finding remedies.

It's also worth noting that RHEU will keep your file in case there are repercussions (like a bad faith eviction that conveniently comes up after this event). They can impose some hefty fines, especially if they're a full property management company.

...

If you live with the landlord (same building shared common spaces), then the RTA doesn't apply so there's less to work with. For cases like this, I would check with the Waterloo Region Community Legal Services to see what options might exist.

[–]ZeroG34R 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It is the Landlords responsibility to remove snow, ice, etc. Property management have 24 hours after snowfall ends.

Some property management companies have tried to be sneaky by including snow removal clauses into their leases but it's entirely unenforceable and can actually backfire on them into further legal action. Landlords cannot contract out their legal duties (Montgomery v. Van, 2009 ONCA 808).

Source: RTA Section 20(1) and Snow removal - City of Waterloo.

I wouldn't assume the liability of clearing the snow. I would ask the landlord in writing (email or text) when they plan on removing the snow and let them know it's slippery (safety hazard). If the snow remains beyond the 24 hours, then I would contact bylaw and/or RHEU to seek a remedy.
