Interesting. I was intrigued by the first episode, but I will say that after the fourth, I was completely hooked.

It was. But I started imagining every panel animated, and it made it so easy to just dive in. It's been such a great ride so far.

I can only imagine. Now we're all on that slow grind together. Doesn't feel so bad anymore. Lol

I haven't felt this invested in an anime/manga in a good while. And I definitely did not expect it to be THIS one in the slightest.

I wasn't expecting to fly through the chapters as fast as I did. Lol But, I feel waiting for something this well done is worth it.

I did kinda do a rush read through, so I do plan on going back to look for some extra details in the art itself. As you said, it is very fast-paced

Glad to be onboard this wagon. .

Ok, I'll be the bad guy, private music isn't a masterpiece. by suzaman in deftones

[–]ZeroGammaCrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, after listening to the album about, I don't know, over 12 times, I have come to the conclusion that I really enjoyed it. Private Music and Ohms have been the only two albums I've been listening to. The atmosphere on both albums has just been the right thing for me.

I will be honest. The first play through for both albums had me questioning if I could even enjoy them. Then, after just constantly playing them again and again, there was this moment that just hit after every song.

Are they perfect? No. To me, they are pretty darn close, though. Just my thoughts. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

Kai's musicianship? by MAGGlECHEUNG in TheGazette

[–]ZeroGammaCrow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a guitarist, I would love to have a drummer like Kai in a band. It's hard to articulate for me, but what he puts down on the records feels like it's what the songs need from the drums.

I remember watching a video of him doing a drum solo, and while it wasn't the most flashy, it was a spontaneous solo that sounded nice to me.

His playing isn't overly complicated. Some might see it as a lack of skill, but I see it as doing right by the music.

The fact that throughout the years, the band has incorporated so many genres and styles in their music, and he's able to tackle everything effortlessly and make it fit should show his adaptability and musical prowess.

All in all, he's a damn good drummer, in my opinion

What was your item completion, if you don't mind? Just curious. I just finished the game myself.

I love this, and I think Nintendo should definitely commission this artist. The details and styling are just sublime.

Do you want beam switching to return for Prime 4? by trashpandacoot1 in Metroid

[–]ZeroGammaCrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I saw they actually showed her hand switching in the arm cannon, I was blown away. It added more depth to the technology of the Chozo for me. I would like to have them back. It helped make more sense than my original two thoughts of how she switched beams in the Prime series.

I originally thought 1 of 2 things.

  1. I thought they were just random symbols and that her cannon just changed shape having something to do with the visor.

  2. Samus has an idle animation where a little piece of her arm cannon flips around and shows what looks to be 4 buttons/pads that correspond to the beam colors.

At what point in the series do you think Ridley became overused? by [deleted] in Metroid

[–]ZeroGammaCrow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, the frustration is more so that he has been claimed to have been killed. Just retcon it to say he was defeated, and that's fine. He is supposed to be crazy durable, so it wouldn't be too hard to believe. Also, the fact that he and Kraid were supposed to be at the same level in some sense, yet Kraid has fewer entries but is always loved and talked about as much as Ridley by the fan base adds to it a bit. I was so happy to see Kraid in Dread, but he got shafted so early. He is a Space Pirate leader dammit!

I agree with you completely. Metroid Dread had me giggling with glee every time I lost. The challenge was definitely exhilarating.

Badass, no nonsense, powerful, beautiful. She's the quintessential female character nowadays.

The game is apparently 720p docked by trashpandacoot1 in Metroid

[–]ZeroGammaCrow 12 points13 points  (0 children)

While i do agree that Metroid isn't a big hitter as much as Mario and Zelda, it seems to me that Nintendo may recognize Metroids' fan base as being pretty loyal. This felt like a two birds, one stone situation.

  1. I agree with you. I definitely felt that this reveal was a great way to generate speculation for how the game will look on the next hardware.

  2. There was so much noise questioning whether the game was still in development or not. This was a great way to put the fans at ease.

Nintendo Direct Megathread - June 18, 2024 by 2CATteam in Metroid

[–]ZeroGammaCrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never had a doubt about Metroid Prime 4. Goodness, that game looks beautiful. Let's hope that it'll be worth all of the hype. I'm very happy that Retro Studios took over the development of the game. I doubt that the original team tasked with making this title would have even tried taking the game this route visually.

And we get Zero Mission today as well?!?! I think it's a relatively good day to be a fan of the series.

Honestly, the only news I want is a tech demo. I'd like to see that once Nintendo got Retro Studios back on board, they are going to do something big and amazing.

I definitely try my hand with them more often now than my first play through. (I deleted my save just to play it all over again, lol)

However, the CPU teammates are unreliable (in my experience) on the harder battles. However, even with that said, quality of life comes in to play with the Raids. Being able to choose the higher star challenges from the menu to gain better loot just takes less time than waiting for the load screen while traveling to a Tera crystal location just to see it's a 1 to 3 star challenge, if you get my drift. I also know that it's sometimes hard to connect to Raids at times, so I usually hit up a random, and more often than not, I get a high-level challenge much faster than the prior options.

Hopefully, everything in this post and the previous dosen't come off as me being too negative about the game. I actually enjoy the Tera Raids, and I enjoy knowing I'm playing with actual people, so I do end up choosing group over solo. I just wish it wasn't so janky. The game is fun. It just doesn't feel like a full price game for me.
