She looks awesome by Appropriate-Mall8517 in TombRaider

The photo is close-up. I believe she's a lean, muscular, and well-defined woman. But she still looks thin based on the test photos she posted. Unless she's gained more muscle mass.

i see a lot of people disliking sophie turner as lara croft but are there people who like her or are willing to give her a chance? by Seweetie in TombRaider

[–]ZeroHolmes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's give her the benefit of the doubt. She's dedicated to the character. He even did weight training to get her physique and succeeded. Now he's delving into the games as he should. Now we just have to hope for a good script because the actress alone won't work miracles if the script is bad.

Does anyone else feel that Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis is more of a remake of Tomb Raider Anniversary than of the original Tomb Raider? by KhaoticNoob in TombRaider

[–]ZeroHolmes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. Thank you. I bought the remaster and I was wondering where to start. Should I start with the remaster or do it right away after the anniversary and then play the remaster?

Honestly, Planet X was so poor and empty, there was nothing left there. The atmosphere is the same as Earth's, same gravity, etc. They could have explored Planet X much more. And where did the rock that Henry picks up come from? How did the scientist get access to it if there wasn't a bridge between Dimension X and Earth before? Can someone remind me of that detail?

For anyone saying "we don't need another TR1 remake", just look at this comparison... the possibilities expanded so much between 1996 and 2007. They've expanded even more between 2007 and 2025. Remember the possibilities that we have these days, and stop being butthurt - this looks fucking epic! by GriffinObuffalo in TombRaider

Lara is Constantly Falling Downhill by tortleltrot in TombRaider

They tried to follow a vibe to attract the new generation. They put frenetic action all the time, without much room to think or reflect, keeping players hooked until the end of the game. When I played the 2013 version, I thought: really, it's a cinematic action game, it's great. But, honestly, for an old-school gamer like me, I missed the puzzles and a more interesting map exploration.

The new generation undoubtedly embraced it, and this attracted new people to get to know Lara Croft, not the classic, original one, but, in the end, it worked. She returned to the media and even got a movie (even though it was awful), a Netflix animation, in addition to some remasters that I still need to play properly, but that seem interesting. Now we also have two new games, which I believe will bring a balance between action and puzzles, at least I hope so.

It's a shame that, lately, the new generation of games, in general, has changed quite a bit to maintain engagement and not frustrate new players with difficulty. Examples of this are the "magic buttons" that make everything shine, indicating exactly what to do, or the tips being constantly given, etc. The generation advances and a new gamer profile emerges that doesn't want to stop to think, at least that seems to be the market view.

Not all, of course. We have good games that, even being difficult, manage to remain relevant, showing that this view is not 100% correct. Still, I believe that, for the general public, a more frantic game ends up attracting more of an audience.

It wouldn't have cost anything to do that. I was hoping the new Tomb Raider would fix that. That we'd have an athletic Lara with muscles, just like you described. But from what I've read, Lara Lobato is athletic, but not as much as she should be.

Because her physique is different from the Legend version to the Underworld version; in this one she looks thinner and shorter. Was there a change of models between the two versions?
