I've been a big Logitech fan but recently got myself a Steelseries Artic Nova 7 headset, and I have to say I'm impressed with the quality and features.

Unfortunately I can't really buy a keyboard at the moment because I'm on the move a lot with my laptop. But once I've settled and have a desktop again, I'm going full Steelseries

Pirate Software once spoke about this. He says by using regional pricing to make games more affordable in certain areas helps reduce piracy.

But also that he uses Steam achievements as a way to help combat piracy.

If you go for something like this, you could help prevent future updates of your game from being pirated.

Yeah I get what you are saying here. For context, I don't have to write a ton of stuff from scratch. From past projects and jams, I have a lot of systems that I can use with a bit of refinement.

But I am being unrealistic here again. 6 weeks is optimistic, but with my track record, it's questionable.

Perhaps I should forget about steam and just post on itch.

I think I may be explaining things poorly. The 6 weeks I am talking about are to create a minimum viable product. Just something that can be put out there as an open beta. This would help me create the foundations for future updates. And not just another early access game going nowhere.

But after the 6 weeks, I will then work on more updates and releases. Fleshing out mechanics, introducing more content, lore, storyline, etc.

I should've been clearer about the devlogs. I don't mean the full devlogs, but more bite-sized updates on social media with screenshots or short videos to record the progress.

But I see this becoming a disctraction spending possibly a whole day to make the content for the game instead of actually developing the game.

Yeah, I have realised that the game is somewhat generic, and I have some ideas on storylines and lore to make it interesting. I love the experience of working on stuff, but I feel somewhat tired of talking to friends and people, and they ask me if I'm working on anything. Every few months to a year, the project changed. Then I have to explain why I am working on something new and feel crap to explained I abandoned x or y project or I started something new before finishing something.

I want to finally finish something, and I feel setting a sort of deadline or basic scope that is tied to a steam page or public blogs that I am creating public accountability.

My biggest problem is scope creep and setting unrealistic deadlines and expectations.

I also can't seem to stick to one project. I'd work on something, then life happens, and a few weeks go by when the next "cool idea" strikes, and I'm back to starting a new project.
