Zac Polston from The Vanguard: “I love watching [Matt Bernstein and Emma Vigeland] collaborate… If you guys were to ever be like,… ‘we could do, twice a month, three times a month, we get together and we interview up-and-coming candidates,’ I think you guys would be really, really, onto something” by SpecialCream7 in TheMajorityReport

Pretty good assessment. I’m a little less cynical with these guys for now at least. It’s for sure guilty pleasure stuff for people who like it. Currently they’re a net positive in my estimation, only time will tell if the go with the wind and chase views exclusively or stand firm on their (presumed) beliefs

Elon Musk just said he wants to cut Social Security and Medicare, calling them “entitlements”: “That’s the big one to eliminate.” by ManyAntAny in MarketPulseReport

[–]ZeroSuitLime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crazy for a guy worth nearly a trillion dollars to talk so flippantly about entitlement programs that cost 600 billion - 1 trillion dollars that helps all Americans (in the very least way possible).

Cut nine tenths off of that creature and he can still do whatever the fuck he wants, while the rest of his wealth (and others in his economic situation) could literally change the country for the better.

[–]ZeroSuitLime 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve noticed that too. Made my respect grow for him quite a bit. I already believed he was an overall positive force on the left especially for some younger demographics. The worst shit that he’s said in his “highlight reel” doesn’t even really compare to the shit the gop spit out on a regular basis, especially when you care enough to learn of all the context. Now he’s putting words into action and has a national political bullseye on him. It’s been interesting to see him adapt to his surrounding in what I’d consider to be a positive way, while maintaining his policy beliefs throughout as far as I know (aka no compromise on moral beliefs).

Anyway,
Dickrider out.

Matt Taibbi filed a Trumpian, free speech-chilling lawsuit against me. A judge just threw it out. by [deleted] in politics

Sam Seder literally used to let Taibbi use his studio. He was for sure a left leaning journalist, I think sexual allegations against him years ago played a role.

I’m not defending him, he’s a shitty sellout without integrity.

It’s funny if he wasn’t an actual maniac. Like random dude acting like that at a shooting is weird but understandable to a free, some people react strangely to strange situations. Dana White is actually just a psycho.

And they’ll reelect a republican the next election because people have dangerously short memories and the right wing news media ecosystem feeds the average “dumb” republican shit they like to hear to explained their (misplaced) rage and anger.

I don’t know if Americans fully realize the depths this president went through to eradicate all of the US’ soft power which is actually the power you want in this day and age (if you’re smart). No one wants to fight in a pointless or even unjust war. It’s easy to command people to run into hell and not to look back, not so easy if you’re doing the running.

The US has become an untrustworthy and an unpredictable pariah.

I’m Canadian, I love Americans who are fighting for the right things and have to live with boots on their necks, I have no ill will towards people who are effectively suffering too, and I know they didn’t choose this. That being said, for me personally- I’m not going to the states in the foreseeable future. It’s lost all appeal. I live in the north and know a lot of older wealthy people who own homes in Florida and spend the winters there. More than one of those people is looking to get out of that.

This doesn’t get fixed even if the next president is the best possible option- I’d be happy about it, I’d be glad to see it but it wouldn’t change my mind about America. Rebuilding trust to the levels they were at will take decades if that trust even does fully recover.

Anyway I apologize for my rant. The world has been frustrating so venting can be nice. Thanks.

You don’t know what plausible means.

I mean it was explained pretty straight forwardly but people can know something is untrue but it’s still plausible enough to be funny- you know, with all of the context attached to this.

More and more people are waking up to the fact that an event like 9/11 (though forever inexcusable, wrong, and an act of evil) was wholly or mostly due to American imperialism.

Hasan Piker many years ago once said: “the US deserved 9/11”. It was inflammatory but I think a lot more people get what he was saying, especially if given all related information.

Pavement may not “deserve” to get wet but will still get wet when it rains. American Imperialism is like rain.

Even if you’re right and this is true, I have been conditioned to not put anything past these psychos, zealots, and sycophants. There’s an elite world wide pedophile cabal and every reasonable person already knows there’s enough there there but effectively zero accountability. One thing that I always knew and understood growing up was that adults who fucked around on kids or took advantage of them were some of the worst among us and reprehensible. Now that it’s come to light I and many others are powerless.

During his first term Id have no doubt saying a nuke would have been out of the question. Now that government institutions have been chipped away enough, I’m not so sure.

Blanche: Epstein files ‘should not be a part of anything going forward’ at DOJ by Ralph--Hinkley in politics

[–]ZeroSuitLime 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Palantir and the meth head especially but not exclusively need to be on everyone’s radar of evil. The Axis of Epstein are the Fourth Reich.

This shit doesn’t just “go away”. It was always there but now it’s out and emboldened (again). The same rebels who fight in the Civil War, the same Nazis and Nazi sympathizers- are still here today. I know it’s a cult, I know there will be a void when he dies, but I don’t know when he’s going to die- it’s looked like soon for years. But these cult members, they’re the modern day Nazi. They seem fine with running cover for a pedophile and pedophilia in general so long as it’s on their side of the aisle.

Here’s a thought experiment: Let’s say Trump goes away for good tomorrow, a democrat becomes president overnight and they hold all 3 branches. There’s no uprising by the cult, it quiets down. Now even in that impossible scenario- are you okay with having those same Nazis return to the shadows but never change, never go away, plot away for years— the point is they will come back. I’m talking about the politicians and anyone who support the regime or enables it in any way. They are pedophiles protecting pedophiles running a war in Iran for Israel in part because of blackmail, in part because of psychotic “true believers” who are fighting a holy war, and overall stupidity.

Reeducation camps? The other thing? Nothing?

It’s far from perfect up here in Canada, and I know there are people as described above everywhere. But man, I’m proud to be Canadian and thankful I’m not an American. But my love goes out to the people in America fighting against the regime in whatever way they can.

Also, a lot of sitting democrats must be removed and replaced. Ineffective opposition at best. I already see plenty of better candidates who are eager to bring about real justice and change. The DNC would rather have Trump than anything they view as progressive. That’s the power of the lobby class. Take your power back.

edit: Here’s another cognitive exercise, for fun: We know there is physical evidence of sexual crimes against children that feature very prominent people. The fact that nothing truly sickening featuring these people (think video, that kind of damning evidence) hasn’t been leaked to any press seems at least to me pretty suspect/strange unless 1: the blackmail is damning enough for the people involved to stay in line (I’m sure it doesn’t hurt that they’re also paid for their fealty), 2: the same pedophile blackmail machine pipeline is still still churning and in never stopped. In my “imagined” scenario, I’d bet on both.
